Great local dinner. Excellent food and very friendly staff. The decor is fun to look at with lots of historic kitchen pieces. I highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a place to eat. We were in the area camping and needed Place to eat before heading home. The omelet was huge and delicious.
Breakfast was really good. I think it's the best biscuits and gravy I've had at a restaurant!
It’s a very cozy place with great food and wonderfully sweet workers this is a must stop for local food and other small gifts all by local people. I just passed through in my way back home and when I’m this way again I will definitely be back!!!
I’m not sure what the problem was. The waitress walked away from our table 3 times to run food to another table. Everyone eyed down our group. One of our group members felt so uncomfortable they left before even ordering food. We where told that they where out of certain foods and then clearly hear the chef in the kitchen says a “double order of gravy” one of the foods we where told where out. That we could not order from the lunch menu as it was an hour away. I think the poor waitress was working hard and had little to no help! The management was basically none existent. For the food and price tho it’s very good however I wouldn’t risk coming here again even with the good food. Complete chaos 10 out of 10 would never recommend! If I could rate stars in the negative I would. Completely unbelievable. I have never been so disappointed by a diner.
Excellent food! Loved the fried chicken! Maybe add a few more non-fried options to the buffet (mashed potatoes?). Cobbler could have been better. But we were talking about that chicken all weekend ! Will be back if ever through again.
Wonderful place to eat!! Good down home cooking, fried chicken and fish were fresh, hot and delicious. We had the most wonderful blackberry pie for dessert. Can't wait to go back !
I had a great breakfast. The "Reynolds County Special" was 2eggs hashbrowns 2pc sausage and 1/2 order of b&g. It was great. My son had French Toast. I had to try one of his 6 pieces for the sake of this review and it was awfully good too.
Today was my first and last time there. Had been hearing for over a year how great it was. This business would go under in any other place. Drove an hour to eat there. I personally hated the decor, but I am sure it appeals to some. But the service was terrible. Someone told the owner that Paula Deen had nothing on her. It appears to be a visiting spot for locals, and don't mind the lack of attention to detail such as having to ask for everything even butter for a biscuit, and had to stir my coffee and dried out powered coffee creamer with a knive. Waitress wrote nothing down and got our order wrong, eggs cooked wrong, meat wrong. I am only posting this for people coming from out of town and looking for a good place to eat. It was like leftovers in a shed.
