Pat was our server. She was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The stuffed fish with asparagus sauce (shown in pic) was delicious. The coleslaw and carrot salad were incredible. They make everything in house and homemade. The only thing I didn't like was the seating. It wasn't warm and fuzzy. The tabletops were silver metal and cold. Not a fan of that. Music was played on Alexa every now and then but not consistently. Will go back.

Thirsty Restaurant, Vincennes St., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents and chatter.
I tried something I never heard of before..The cold platter ...oh yes a cup of chili.
The chili, house made. Just ok. Needed hot sauce to kick it up.
The cold platter. It is a large chilled plate with your choice of egg salad, chickens salad etc.
There are hard boil egg, fresh fruit, a dipping sauce, olives, veggies. Healthy stuff that is served cold. Something for a hot day... I found it light and a bit refreshing.
Truly for the healthy folks. Simple but filling.. 9 bucks or so...You will not find this dish at many other places.
I enjoyed it.
Service was great.
Well I finally got around to Thirsty. The oldest eatery in Cape Coral. It is not fancy but you get a warm welcome as if you have been coming here for years. At least that is how I felt. I was seated promptly ask for my drink & given a menu. Before I could peruse the menu my server sung out the daily special. Then gave me sometime. I order the home-made beef barley soup & special of the day stuff fish.
The beef barley was great super hot and delish. Lots of beef & barley hardly any room for crackers. I was given a large portion of stuff fish and rice with a shrimp fill sauce. It was outstanding though a touch too much maybe of the sauce. Any way there was too much for me to finish so I needed a doggie bag.
So if you desire good old fashion American food check this place out. This is for the safe diners not the adventurous kind such as myself
The original cape coral seafood restaurant.
The exterior does not leave much to desire.
The interior has been recently redone, current and clean!
The food is always prepared quickly and it's tasty.
Enjoy.
Took Walter to Thirsty's for his birthday dinner.
The oldest restaurant in Cape Coral. It's still the best!
First time at Thirsty's and we were immediately greeted and seated. Tina was our server and she was excellent. Even though she was quite busy, she was on top of everything. Had Sloppy Joe's and Mac and cheese and enjoyed it very much. Hubby had bacon cheeseburger and fries and he also enjoyed his meal. Reasonably priced. Will definitely go back ????
We both got the shrimp scampi, the shrimp were big and good but the pasta lacked greatly in flavor. The coleslaw was awesome. Apparently they thought my baked sweet potato was too big to serve to one person because it was cut in half and I got half. Just odd. The waitress was very nice and the service was quick.
Pat was our server through our extremely delightful meal of Crab Stuffed Fish and Baked Salmon. The sides really made the meal shine though including the Carrot Salad and the Cole Slaw. It seems everything is made fresh to order and so delightful. We will definitely be back. Awesome.
Stop! Do not pass up this fabulous restaurant. The outside does not match the quality of the food. My fish stuffed with crab was divine! Prices are so reasonable, half of others in the area that serve lesser quality of seafood. My hubby ordered a seafood trio, fish shrimp and clam strips all for $14.95. can you believe that? Everything was so delicious, and dessert was delicious key lime pie. Cannot wait to go back and explore more of their menu. When you stop in, tell Tina that Bonnie sent you.
