I was in the area after moving away 7 years ago and needed a quick trim. Dropped in and Thien was able to fit me in, and did an amazing job both evening out, trimming, and shaping my very thick, long, curly hair. Cost around $40, prices are posted at the counter/window. She does discounts for seniors which I think is great. Clearly cares about her customers, knows her craft. If I can pop in after 7 years and get a great and quick trim, and had great experiences when I lived in the area before, she deserves 5 stars. Don’t expect fancy salon vibes but a professional and kind human doing a great job cutting and styling hair at reasonable prices.
It’s always a bit of a gamble when trying out a new stylist to cut your hair. I’m glad I made that leap of faith a few years ago after reading reviews and asking friends for recommendations! I have had nothing but great experiences with Thien cutting and coloring my hair. My hair is long, very straight with medium texture. Thien added layers, texturized and provided a very flattering cut. She is also great with highlighting and color.
Thien did an amazing job on my hair!! She knows what she's doing. It only took 15 minutes, and my hair feels much lighter and is very even now, and i love the layers!

I had a wonderful experience at Thien's salon this afternoon! I'm very happy with the way Thien cut my hair (layered bob) and it didn't even take very long (maybe 15-20mins). ???? I'm a mom to toddlers/preschoolers so I usually don't have a lot of time to style my hair. I love having a haircut that is much easier to manage and looks lovely at the same time. ???? I will definitely be back when it's time for my next haircut!
Thien is such an amazing and talented hairstylist! She gave me some tips how to take care of my new color and what to do in the future to make it look nice! I love my copper color and a hair cut! Nothing can’t beat the price either! Little???? gem ???? in Kirkland! Recommend in ???? %
Always the best service and haircut! Thien is the best and so sweet, love supporting local (she grew up in Juanita area!) and been going to her for years. Now my family does too and somehow she remembers our stories! And, back to the haircut, Thien’s fantastic and somehow always manages to make my hair look fantastic despite how low maintenance I keep it. And always has the tips and product recommendations for whatever my hair is going through at the time like thinning, build up, etc. I don’t live here anymore but always save my haircut for when I’m in town visiting family. Will be going to her for years to come!
One extra star for taking me in as a walk in without an appointment on a busy day, but -3 stars for giving me one of the worst women’s hair cut of my life. At the start of my hair cut they asked me how I like to part it, asked me to part it and then didn’t change it at all throughout to even out the cut or nothing. Their thinning shears took any thickness and beauty from my straight Asian hair. This is not my first “no frills” hair salon visit and it won’t be my last but I’m def not coming back here.
Bubbly, professional and genuinely warm individual who runs her business well. I had a great haircut! She doesn't pressure you to buy any of the products but I want to because she's awesome!
