Best KPortal Reviews

The south burger with pimento cheese and fried tomato was a delicious sandwich. The bar was busy with lots of happy faces, and we grabbed a seat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Great place
The service was 10/10, the restaurant was clean and well decorated. My only issue is the prices for the food. I got the chicken tender meal and it was $14 and for that I only got two medium size tenders. That’s pretty steep for chicken tenders. Considering pricing for central Indiana restaurants $10 is about average for a meal like that and I’d expect to pay less with only two pieces of chicken. The food was good and cooked well but the portion and pricing were just disappointing.
I was coming to leave a positive review about my excellent experience from the staff and especially the bartenders Friday night when I looked down and saw the previous review from Angela. She sounds quite bitter and pretty good at embellishing truth.
From what I see, strong personality aside, the bartender is a workhorse who holds a high expectation of servers and over all service.
The staff, the environment, and management are what you would expect with good service. They’ve done a beautiful job with the renovation and I look forward to enjoying The Public House more and more. Great addition to the town of Zionsville!!
I’ve lived in the area for many years, and noticed that this place opened last week. Thought I would stop by and get a quick dinner and a beer. I sat at the bar, and both bartenders, Cooper and Jake, greeted me and asked me my name. Unusual but very nice! They have a great draft beer selection. The owner, Marcus, lives close by, and he’s there every day, which is so admirable.
He also owns the pub out in Whitestown, which is a smaller place, but also great food. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and coleslaw. When you order the grilled chicken, you can see what the quality is, and this chicken was totally fresh and cooked perfectly! Not dry at all. I ordered it with bacon and Swiss cheese and I appreciated the fact that the bacon was crispy, not rubbery! I also met the chef, David, and we talked about the coleslaw, which is his personal recipe. It is a cream base. Very fresh, made there daily, it was a little sweet for me. I love the fact that they have great TVs throughout the place, and there is a pool table and darts in the side room, fantastic! And, they are open until 1 AM, which is unheard of here in Zionsville. A great place to stop in, watch a Colts game or Pacers game, have great food, and have fun! My chicken sandwich was only $12, unheard of in this area. I totally recommend this place, go there!
I had a delish Smash burger with bacon, cheese, tomato & guacamole! So good!!
The best part if the meal, though, was the PERFECTLY fried okra!!!!!
Our server was friendly and the service was fast and accurate!!
Cheeseburger was great, came exactly as ordered. Service was perfect. They didn't hover but nobody was neglected either. Drinks were mixed for a man, not a little girl. Overall, it was just one smidgen less than perfect. I will definitely be a repeat customer and those in my group will be too. 4.99 stars because you've got to leave room for improvement.
Tried this new restaurant opening week. It was busy but we were served promptly and our server was very friendly and helpful. We both had the surfer burger and fries and a beer. It was very good. My only complaint is there was a greasy haze in the air and my clothes smelled of it afterwards. I hope they can fix this because this place is a good addition to zionsville and reasonably priced.
Due to the very loud music, we couldn't carry on a conversation w/o yelling across the table, and at our waiter. It's a shame really, it's supposed to be a place to "gather" and you can't even talk!!! Probably won't go back. Plus the patio used to be so nice and it's not now :(
