Best KPortal Reviews
Sunday after 5pm may not be the best time to visit this place. There were in total three people in this old bar. The place itself is fairly dated. The carpet looks worn and tired, musty and actually darkens the place. The walls are also in needs of freshening. In its favour, the Wykebeck Arms is spacious, good parking, and has the potential of community. There is a function room complete with stage for a live band or DJ music. African Caribbean cuisine is on offer plus a selection of liquor. Music ???? is also on YouTube so you can make a request. There is talk that this place is alive on Friday and Saturday nights. Perhaps another visit will give me a more complete picture.
Good local pub with a great potential. Could do with a little refurb. It’s fairly quiet. Also good food
Great night had with good food and cheap drinks, would definitely recommend if you like carabbean food
Warm and welcome place also delicious, fresh and tasty food. I could recommend.
Newly decorated pub. Available rooms for functions at reasonable prices. Regular pub pricing. Ample off road parking and. Beer garden and smoking shelters.
Less chans of being stabbed, shot or mugged when you leave than some other pub's in Leeds. An almost friendly atmosphere and welcome from the locals, where the universal greeting of "wat you looking at" is always said with a smile. A great place to drink your cares away, where the landlord will exchange good meaning banter about how you look, where your from and that delightful bit of female stuff you walked in with. In short a great place you can't leave, no matter how hard you try, with out buying everyone a round
An amazing pub especially if you want hire the function room, Sharon goes beyond to make any celebration extra special
This pub has had a makeover recently and has only the front bar open, the back I believe is due for a major revamp. The service was good and the bargirl pleasant, the new landlord used to run the Travellers rest in Cross Gates so I think thinhs can get even better here, although the pub is situated at the bottom of Halton Hill, and is opposite two of east Leeds' most deprived housing estates, Halton moor and Osmondthorpe.
