I don't like to leave a review of a place I've been to only once. Needless to say, I have been to The Works Tavern a few times and it's some of the best food in Chicago, especially on the south side. Mike is a culinary expert and my last visit proved it. I legitimately had the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. The steak was juicy, the bread was soft and the cheese was super cheesy (10/10).
The food is always fresh, the beer is always cold and my kids love the pizza! On our last visit, we ordered the fried zucchini, a pepperoni pizza, wings, and the Philly cheesesteak. Everything was delicious and we washed it down with $3 Pacifico beers. Can't beat that.
Angie was amazing! Hospitality is her thing! Food was out at a timely manner and drinks as well! 5 stars all around. Will recommend this spot to everyone around! Also an awesome atmosphere.
So happy to have run into this place! We stopped up here after hearing so many great reviews on the wings and pizza. Needless to say we were NOT disappointed. We had the Albanian pizza and the sweet and tangy wings. Highly recommend! We will be coming back.
The service was excellent. I highly recommend the steak sandwich and mozzarella sticks. Ice cold beer. I wouldn’t wait, The Works is great!
My neighborhood bar always has the best homemade food. The Albanian pizza is the bomb! The wing are fire! The bartenders make great drinks
This place is so good I had my moms bday party here and staff is so good. Food is amazing aswell
Talk about a great meal at a great price ! Mike and the crew at the works are just great people to be around and they treat you like family. The menu is great and always a great option on the daily specials .
Mike and Angie run an amazing business, theyre such great people! The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. Such a great asset to the community.
