Madalena is wonderful and she does make you feel at home. Most of all, her food is really delicious and we'll seasoned with fresh specials board. The drunken pork was really delicious. It is definitely that home made cooking feel.
We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty. This place deserves more publicity as it is currently a hidden gem. The location is very pleasant by the river and once it gets cold there is a lot of room inside for a nice cold beer and delicious food.
Share this place with your friends and bring them here. Not just during your afternoon walk, but also for a nice meal in the evening!
Had the most delicious goat curry tonight, with veggies, rice & plantain, topped off with a beer. Really tasty food & great value, would highly recommend it. Staff very welcoming & friendly, nothing is too much bother

I felt like home. I absolutely recommend it.
Madeline is the most welcoming host, instantly makes you feel comfortable. honestly could have stayed and chatted with her all day. We had the flat bread special with an amazing marinara sauce, the chicken wings … OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS! And being Scottish had the chips. The menu looked interesting with a variety of dishes, so a return trip is in order.
I think it’s great this pub has been saved by her and her husband and I wish them all the success.
This is an amazing little pub, with beautiful new facilities and excellent food. The owners are very friendly and it is dog friendly too!

Amazing new owners, warm and welcoming! New food and drink menu is well priced and the food is amazing! Can’t wait to go back and spending some summer nights out back with their bbq on!
The atmosphere, drinks, the entirety of the staff, and most importantly, the food here is outstanding. The cleanest pub I've been to and dog friendly, with trails along some beautiful countryside. Booking a table is a must on a Thursday.

The pub is different, or at least different from what you would expect!
The food was so well seasoned and delicious!
Lots of types of larger on tap, dog friendly, and lovely atmosphere!
