The White Horse has been reopened now for 8 weeks and its definitely a success. I had fish pie tonight, and would thoroughly recommend it. Food prices are reasonable as are the bar prices.
The staff and management are great, very public focused, The atmosphere is great too with soft background music, a roaring open fire and a soft babble of conversions coming from the many occupied tables.
In the other bar is a pool table, and a dart board. So chance to be fed wsterd and wind down.
A lovely evening to be had here. You will not be disappointed.
Five stars all round in our opinion. A quiet drink with honest value for money home cooked food. We found it through the Camervan Bible and stayed the night in the car park as we were going to Donna Nook the next day.
A birthday celebratory Sunday lunch and all 6 of us said "it was brilliant "! Choice of vegetables was just right. Looking at the menu we will definitely call again. You dealt with us promptly and made us feel welcome xx
So nice to see The White Horse open and popular, the village has been missing a pub for too long. It was nice to see the pub so full. The beer was at a reasonable price, the wine and non alcoholic drinks are a tad expensive, though this will be determined by the brewery. I'll definitely be returning soon.
On a journey home decided on stopping for a pint and came across this pub . Car park spacious but pub itself looked questionable weather it was open or not . On entering not bad area plenty of seating , ordered a couple of very reasonably priced pints , restrooms good and clean.loo roll holder questionable but did a job .turning point is realising the pool table and the dart board , table good no darts behind bar so take your own , overall good spot for a pint and pool cannot complain
Nice food, very well cooked (& the chef came out later to chat). Warm, friendly staff and customers happy to welcome strangers. It all made for a lovely time ????
Recently reopened under new management and refurbished. There is a separate games room. Clean establishment. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere. Food is cooked to order with fresh ingredients. Varied menu. Advisable to book in advance for a meal. If you can't manage to sit on a high bar stool make sure you request a normal table when booking. Toilets are clean but none designated for disabled. There is wheelchair access to the pub though.
Wonderful that the pub is open again!!! It's a lovely local with very friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Very clean and tidy. Looking forward to the kitchen opening in the new year! Wishing the new landlady and landlord lots of luck!
