We visited for a very late lunch after a hike, staff were really accommodating and food was delicious, just what we needed! Our dog was also welcome which is another bonus, would definitely return if we are in the area again.
Amazing place, the service is impeccable, really good food, customer service and lovely staff. We loved the decoration and the meals..dog friendly and very cozy. We went to eat at 2:45pm and they served us, a family came after us and then another couple who were hiking and they ate as well. Amazing service! They make you feel welcome and at home. The same with the food, is like when grandma cooked for the family.
Will go back for sure!! And recommend 100%
Had lovely steak and ale pie the flakiness crust full of meat the garlic mushrooms with a little loaf of bread was great clean old fashion pub recommended
Had a very nice meal here and staff were very friendly. The only reason I'm not giving a higher star rating is the fact the on a freezing day the restaurant was cold. There seemed to be no heating or fire on and ended up having to wear our coats whilst eating.
Great country pub with a fireplace and warm atmosphere. Very large selection of beers and lagers and great food menu (the steak & ale pie was superb). The pub is a few steps away from a river and canal.

Great little find. Stopped for lunch and food and staff were fantastic. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Well worth a visit.
We went for Sunday lunch, we were attracted by the fabulous aroma as we approached on our canal boat.
And what a great lunch it was, real home cooked splendor.
The bar stocked an amazing choice of beers and the service was excellent.
