Wonderfully warm welcome from the staff in the White Bull. I was absolutely shocked at the value for money and fabulous service at this lovely pub that backs on to the canal.
From the moment I walked into the pub, the lovely staff were very welcoming and attentive, making sure I was informed of all the specials and offers available. We opted for the £15 burger and pint and had realistic expectations for what we would receive.
What was served was a fabulous, crispy coated, perfectly cooked moist chicken breast burger and beautiful fries, that I only just managed to finish.
In my opinion, The White Bull is superb value for money and would highly recommend this pub. Thank you so much for exceeding my expectations.

The menu is all traditional food cooked fresh on the premises. I'm looking forward to trying more of their offerings.
Met here with ex colleague. Initially tried to contact them. Phone no online wasn’t available so called green man which heard owned it and they didn’t have a no and sold last year. Place quite empty n soulless. Had hopes as said it have been done up since we last came but the yellow and black decor was quite unsettling. Needed brightening up with white !! Also got whiffs of dog and bleach which was quite overwhelming. Food ok - as a group we had to go one by one n order and they came out one by one too which wasn’t a big problem but different than most pubs. Didn’t get why there was a specials board in the ladies toilet cubicle!??
The bench seating was low with tables and felt a bit like a child eating. Don’t think it’s a return venue for us but be nice in summer outside by the canal. Staff were nice and a few tweaks could be beneficial.
Amazing Food, super friendly staff who just couldn't do enough to accommodate any of our needs. Beautiful views. We were here twice in two weeks. Great Zinfandel ????????
"The location by the canal is very picturesque, and they have an excellent attitude towards dogs. They even offered my pup a bowl of water and some treats. While the selection of ales is not extensive, you can try each type for free. The cider selection is also limited, but they have an excellent apple cider. The food is great, especially the garlic bread that they baked for us on the spot. The burgers are very filling, but the experience was slightly ruined by the burger buns, which were not grilled and looked like the cheapest buns you can buy at a supermarket. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place as the prices are reasonable."
Lovely bar,very friendly staff and lovely beers .we sat outside on the canal in the sun.we ordered a pizza and it was excellent,delicious in fact.two girls on really made us feel at home so we will be back again.
Had a lovely meal. Food was super. And well priced. Alice and Chief were very attentive, welcoming and pleasant. Conveniently located with easy parking. Definitely going back for round too :-)
Loved it! Friendly welcome. Canal side pub with good value pub food! Will be visiting again.
