Went for dinner and through enjoyed it. I had a steak cooked how I like it and my wife enjoyed a loaded burger. Really nice chips as well. The selection of drinks is extensive and I would recommend the Northern Monkey beers, they are excellent. The young man behind the bar and the waiter were lovely people who made you feel at home.
Very welcoming on arrival. Accommodated a big group of us for food with no booking on Easter Sunday. Great food. Service was brilliant (really great with the young kids too). And very reasonably priced. Will be back again. Lovely terrace to sit out and have a drink and something to eat. Thank you!
We ordered pizza, garlic bread, halloumi fries and fries for 2 people. Big mistake. There was enough food for 4 people at least and we had to take the garlic bread away. Portions are huge and food is very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Service is brilliant too. We sat outside and my only complaint would be dog hair on the furniture, not all of us love your dog like you do ????????????????????????
Undeterred by the massive main courses we soldiered on and ordered dessert. Both were delicious and again, at £6 each, great value for money.

What a lovely place! A bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and very tasty, yet reasonably priced food. Will definitely be back!
This bar is situated on the Windermere Camping and Caravanning Club Site. Lovely atmosphere, fairly priced food and drinks and the pool table is on free vend

Excellent meals . Lovely ambiance pleasant staff. What's not to like ? Nothing. Fish was the nicest I've tasted in ages and the batter as light as a feather. Gammon and chips for the hubster was huge. More like a thick pork chop. Every morsel eaten except a few chips from both plates because the portions were huge .
Just had a drink in the Whistling Pig & really enjoyed it. Friendly staff & decent atmosphere. Will be back to try the food soon ????
