Didn't have any food, but two pints of Magna's cider went down well, Just passing through Waddington and decided to drop in for a pint. Has in some pubs when you walk in you are greeted by the "clique" that have been going to same pub for years, and get funny looks as if to say stranger in camp. Didn't feel like that in this pub. The punters all took time to say hello, even the chap and lady behind the bar made me feel welcome, which again in its self is a bonus. If you are ever in Waddington call in for a pint.
What a great local pub. Friendly staff, friendly locals, darts, pool and Sky TV. Will definitely be back if Pompey play away at Lincoln again ????
Step into this charming establishment, where the walls echo with tales of yesteryear. Engage in spirited discussions with seasoned patrons who fondly reminisce about the "good old days," sharing opinions as vintage as the stories themselves. Embrace the wisdom over a pint; after all, it's the only way to avoid paying the price for choosing sobriety in this delightful time capsule.
Great pub and nice beer. Staff always friendly and a decent pool table
Great pub, nice welcome and very clean. We watched a Liverpool match and enjoyed our time in the pub. Thanks.
Moved to Waddington 6 weeks ago. Second and last time in the Wheatsheaf: gin and soda tastes like chlorine. Crisps are stale. But the worse thing, the profanities from those watching sports… every second word is the f-word… so loud I could still hear them when I visited the ladies lavatory.
Never again.
My work local, it can get busy but can always get to the bar. Loads of TVs for the footy and a nice few drinks to be had.
Fabulous atmosphere, safe warm and inviting place. Great beers on offer, plenty of places to sit and feel welcome. Great helpful friendly staff. Outside seating area. Wanted to attend last few years and what a pleasant trip. Deffo go again when over from Spain
