We had an amazing experience with our sports banquet in the Westin Grand Ballroom! About 240 people , half kids half adults. Booking with Melanie and Jajean was easy. And working with the event Staff, especially Amir, Giovanna and the entire staff managing the event was so pleasant. THANK YOU! They made sure to set up the room as we wanted even with some last minute changes the day of, Amir was very accommodating and easy to work with making the event run very smooth. Our guests enjoyed the space, staff and food - especially that there were 2 buffets set up so everyone had food within 10minutes! Every part of the event was well thought out and managed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful space with friendly, professional, and experienced event planners and staff the day of your event to ensure you can enjoy it too!
We didn’t stay at the hotel but we had a family event there and it was awesome! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. They seemed happy to help in any way. The bartender, Giavonna, was the BEST! So sweet! She went out of her way to accommodate us and ended up making our night so special!
Missy, the bartender, is absolutely amazing and the sweetest!!! She went out of her way to make sure that we were happy with our time at the Westin. She gets 10/10 from me and deserves recognition!Will definitely stay again because of her on my next business trip!
Took my 5 year old for a fun weekend away…the pool looked wonderful from the photos.
We went to the pool around 8 pm. There was loud screaming and yelling that could be heard when we got off the elevator. The floor was covered in water the whole way to the pool…When we got to the pool area we saw about 20 kids running, screaming, doing flips into the pool. They were eating and dropping food into the pool. There was not a single dry chair due to the excessive splashing. About 3 inches of water covered the whole deck.
After finally having enough I had to take my crying daughter out of the pool and back up to our room. We had planned a later checkout so I figured we could go in the next morning. When we went down this morning, we saw there was a closed pool sign.
We went to the front desk to ask when it would open..we were told it was closed the entire day and needed to be cleaned.
The manager on duty said it was due to a dog going in on Friday. He stated he knew nothing of the reckless party that was thrown there hours before. It was laughable to hear the comp offered discounted employee rate - why would I ever bring my family back here? I’ve never been to such a poorly managed Westin property. Plenty of other hotels in that area…pick one of those.
We had a three day work event, and all the staff that help serve and clean up were amazing. Bernadet and Ramy were always kind and prompt, and they and the rest of the staff really made the long conference hours more enjoyable. ||The food was buffet style and there were a variety of choices. Great choice of lite snacks too!!!!||Thank you!
Fantastic facility and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate. We had a large conference room and catering and Ramy M provided excellent service. We asked him for a million things and he took care of everything with a smile! Thank you for such a great experience!
Positive: The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor was modern and looked great. Also liked that plenty of women and families were staying there too - made me comfortable as a woman traveling alone. Negative: Wish the front desk staff had better knowledge of the areas. Read the reviews very carefully! Very disappointing for a Westin / Marriott property. The bathroom was literally coming apart during our stay. Chunks of the ceiling falling while showering. Every time the door closed more fell. Who knows what was growing in there, it's obvious from the pictures they had a previous issue with water damage and hastily covered it up. Front desk staff took our information and we never heard so much as a 'sorry your stay wasn't up to our standards'. Too much of this hotel is in disrepair; it was more like what you would expect from a cheap motel than from a major hotel brand. Take your money and go literally anywhere else. The positive reviews keeping this hotel's overall rating from tanking are mostly from people who used the hotel as a venue for an event, not people just looking for a clean, comfortable room for the night/weekend. The owner keeps replying to bad reviews saying things like 'we'll strive to do better', etc. yet the negative reviews continue. It's obvious they don't take guest satisfaction seriously and Westin corporate office doesn't seem to be any better. I reached out to them with the pictures of the tub only for them to tell me someone would be in touch... 3 days later and no one has reached out. Westin is a dead brand. Stay. Anywhere. Else.
