Exquisite red wine sauce with a juicy Rib-eye steak is a MUST for meat lovers. Still thinking about it a day later, mouth salivating.
Lovely, cosy, atmospheric atmosphere, quite traditional and warm.
Quite nice to people watch outside too.
Professional waiting service, and a lovely friendly chat with Sharon the Owner.
A wee hidden gem, looking forward to going again in a few months, however I'm torn between trying something new or going for the same again. Choice made, steak with that sauce absolutely delicious!
Taxi office across the road, so taxi was there in 2 minutes. What a pleasant evening with outstanding cuisine. Very happy.

Inconsistent - first meal we had here was amazing, and I raved about it to everyone: unusual and seasonal menu items including razor clams.
Second time was disappointing, and wouldn't encourage me to go back. Ordinary menu, steak was actually a minute steak (very thin). Asked how I'd like it cooked, and then when it came, told me it was too thin to get red in the middle.
A shame, started out so well!
Nice wee place in Clarkston with a lovely atmosphere.
We have been here a few times and for the most part the food is lovely. There however have been a couple of exceptions to that. We had a Cheesecake which was overly heavy and salty and lamb two ways which was extremely fatty.
Pricing is slightly on the high side for the portion sizes.
One of the best steaks I've ever tasted. At £25 it was worth every penny. We had a family meal, kids menu classics to keep our 5 year old happy, and the adult menu has excellent options. We had the mussels to start with lasagne and steak to follow. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the jus was a retro nod to oxo, but a surprisingly fabulous addition. Lasagne was rich and tasty. Triple cooked chips left everyone wanting more.
Fantastic food. Pleasant and helpful staff. Some of the best food we had on our entire 1 month tour of Scotland. Do not pass this up! Cheers.
Absolutely terrific, we had the lamb and the chicken roast mmmm, it was delicious, dessert was white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake mmmm, on a bright sunny evening, the ambience is excellent in this little restaurant and staff are superb, will continue to keep on coming back, definitely!!!
Just received a fly sheet for your rest. sounded interesting. Check with Google and great reviews from "people" who have dined?
But do you know what, not a menu available anywhere!
Strange!!!!!
This is a great restaurant with good service. I had the Black Olive Pakora, the Pork Belly and the Peanut Butter Creme Brulee. Would recommend all of it, but especially the Creme Brulee.
