Apologies to the man who helped us. I forgot his name, but if management reads this, he worked around 5pm on May 3..What an attentive waiter. So nice and even with the restaurant being so busy, he always checked on us.
Nice waiter, lovely restaurant with a nice beach view. I had the garlicky pasta and it was delicious. Ate dessert though I was stuffed. But key lime pie was yummy!
First class service, terrific food with generous portions, lovely sunset view and super dog-friendly.
We checked with hostess to confirm that their outdoor seating was dog-friendly and were seated right away next to a heater which was nice on a cool evening with the sun setting. The sunset was just lovely. Our waiter Colby provided first class service and was personable as well as efficient. Some area restaurants are merely dog tolerant (which we still appreciate) but The Waverly was dog-FRIENDLY. We had brought our own water/bowl for our dog but still appreciated that they offered us some and were tickled by the attention several staff members paid to our Lab. They also had live music which was enjoyable, a bit loud but not obnoxious. My husband ordered a Turkey Club and I ordered a Build A Burger. Both were terrific and portions so generous we had leftovers for lunch the next day. We were stuffed but when Colby tempted us with “shareable” carrot cake, we decided to take some to go. They are not kidding about “shareable” – we each had TWO dessert servings out of it. Thanks so much Colby and the rest of the staff for a lovely & memorable evening.
If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! Excellent service. atmosphere was wonderful, right on the beach on the 2nd floor so quaint and lovely. The food was stellar! I got the shrimp cocktail (sooooo good and worth the money. Big juicy shrimps) and beet salad which was so fresh and crisp and the portion size just right. My boyfriend got the pork rib eye which he mistakenly thought was steak but it wasn’t … lol he says it was okay though. The gelato was excellent too. We really enjoyed our time here.
Ample parking, lunchtime we got seated right away. The clam chowder and Cod fillets were good. The appetizer was potato chips with Bleu cheese salad dressing on them, not like other restaurants with homemade chips, bleu cheese & bacon crumbles. The service after ordering was painfully slow.
Fantastic place, I recommend Google Reservations if you want to sit upstairs to watch the sunset over the beach. Downstairs is fun too, live bands and a real hotspot. Our server was Johnny from Penn State, excellent server and quick wit.
Omg!! I am from Jacksonville & my cousins are from Wisconsin. This has been the best experience today!! Colby (like the cheese) is absolutely fantastic!!! Everyone is friendly, there is live music on a Wednesday afternoon, & I can see the beach from my table!! The food & cocktails were amazing!! The sushi, the grouper, the hamburgers, & the blackberry mojito were ridiculous!!! What a great day!!! Thank you COLBY!!!!!
Ordered the beet salad with blacken salmon it was fantastic ! Perfectly cooked and delicious ! The service and view from the upstairs restaurant were excellent, our waiter was very attentive ! Full bar services that make fabulous drinks !! Will be back !! Try it you won’t be disappointed !
I definitely recommend! I had my parents in town visiting for the anniversary and this place definitely made it a memorable one. Everything from the view, service, and food was perfect! We were waited on by Anna, and can I say how absolutely amazing she is! Best service ever! I enjoyed the Oyster Rockefeller as an appetizer followed with a HUGE salad for dinner. I informed the women up front about the anniversary who happened to be the General Manager Tracy and she went out of the way to make sure my parents had an extra special night! This is the perfect place to celebrate, we definitely left with big smiles and full stomachs.
