In the heart of the countryside, beautiful drive out, fishing lakes, cosy and homely traditional pub, the food is outstanding home cooked and plentiful. Very welcoming landlord, you will feel at home and leave fed, watered and smiling!
Just popped in for a drink whilst waiting to view a vehicle for sale up the road so I can't score the food. Looks like a nice little pub with some pretty outdoor space looking over the fishing lake.
We'll definitely head back and try the food one day.
Rooms available too, dead handy for visiting Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcester or the Malverns if you want somewhere away from it all.
So on off chance hadn’t been to this place in 13 years so random day out with a friend said I remember this place let’s pop in . What great Guiness !! And good roast beef was amazing and the staff were excellent I highly recommend this place well done your whole time il be back and il send friends as well to enjoy your great pub
Just popped in while passing. Service amazing. Food was only served at 6pm but the manager, bless him asked us what we wanted , chicken baguette & chips, he cooked it for us. He was amazing. The blonde lad with the mullet hair style & the lad with rastapherian hair were brilliant. Service with a smile nice & chatty & very welcoming. The young couple customers included us & made us feel welcome. 10 out of 10 for everyone. You made us feel so welcome & being disabled it was easy accessible to walk around. We love this country lil pub. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Will be back.
Lovely little pub, the food and service was with a smile, all four of us loved it, great views over the lake from our seats outside, well worth a visit

We’ve been a few times, always had good food, good service and good value.
I would have liked to have given a good review but we were let down at our recent visit.
Firstly, the last behind the bar is excellent, always pleasant and provides good service, the food is excellent, huge portions and very tasty, this were enjoyed as usual but…
We stay at a local campsite which we love and when a local asked us where we were staying he was then very rude about the place, giving some pretty bigoted remarks which the landlord sitting nearby joined in with. They were also being quite derogatory of the Welsh, which we are and not being very quiet about it.
Sadly, we won’t be returning.
Had dinner. Nice to sit outside by the lake (picnic tables). Traditional pub but nice enough. Food - chicken & beef burgers, chicken special (Stilton & bacon sauce) all really nice, all with salad & chips. Huge portions, they like to make sure you are well fed! Friendly staff.
