Has to be one of the best pubs in the south west.
Beer selection is excellent, both keg and draft.
Drinks menu is extensive with a few options for any spirit you're interested in. Peated scotch is Lagavulin rather than the pub standard Laphroaig, they've Fettercairn, Mcneen and others, definitely above average dram selection. There's a range of tequilas and mezcal, vodkas etc etc.
The staff were lovely, ambiance is great, music is spot on volume wise, loud enough to listen to but not so loud that having a conversation is a challenge. Great tunes as well.
Only tried the bar menu this evening, but that was epic: Beef Scrumpet is ace, the roast potatoes are insane, the crisps with taramasalata were freshly made and still warm. The butter that comes with the bread ????
And there's a fire at each end of the bar.

This restaurant is an absolute gem, best dining in and around Flushing. The food is amazing, seasonally fresh and locally sourced. If you don't have room for dessert, you must takeaway (you won't regret it!) The staff are just gorgeous and can't do enough for you. Wonderful atmosphere for every occasion from family gatherings, romantic meals and impromptu get togethers. Extremely recommended.
This fish restaurant is at a dream location with views overlooking Falmouth Harbour and situated in the beautiful, somewhat idyllic village of Flushing.
We arrived at lunchtime, midweek on an absolutely beautiful day and we had no trouble parking or getting a table, inside or out.
The menu was a little limited but I could have happily had any of the options on the menu.
My wife and I both went for the monkfish fish and chips at £22, served with tartar sauce and salad leaves.
The portions were generous and mine was absolutely delicious. There was an slight issue with my wife's, and another diner's, over their fish being slightly over cooked but this was satisfactorily dealt with by the very professional and efficient staff and everybody was happy. I took at look at dishes served to other diners and they looked fabulous too.
Would we go there again? Absolutely and probably for their Sunday lunch.
Walked from Mylor to flushing in the rain and went for a roast at The Waterside, absolutely amazing, large portion, great quality and tasty food. Room cosy and staff very polite and accommodating. Highly recommend. They were also doing roast as a take away aswell.
Phoned late on Saturday night for booking Sunday lunch they were so helpful. Then on Sunday had a fantastic Sunday roast everything was really well cooked and presentation was good. Staff which I think is family are super friendly.. thank you for a lovely experience.
Lovely food and great service. Atmosphere also gets a huge tick from us.
We had soup, mussels, turkey and beef. All had fantastic flavours and didn’t leave a crumb.
Went in for an evening meal last night and had the most amazing seafood I have ever eaten!
The muscles and the lemon sole stole the show in a big way they were superb.
Can't recommend this restaurant enough.
Only stopped for a quick drink but was really quaint place. Surrounded by water and boats galore. So pretty! Coffee was fab staff really friendly
