Best KPortal Reviews
Very friendly staff, reasonably priced and very very nice homemade cakes. Will definitely be visiting again when we are next in the area
Excellent cafe on the hill top overlooking Aberporth bay. Nice views. Great, friendly service, good food. Recommend the bacon, brie and cranberry panini. Dogs are allowed in the outside seating area, which is not large. It is a steep path to get in and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users. Ok if you can ambulate with walking aids but it is steep!!
Will get very full in the height of summer or bank holidays. Steep steps to come up from the beach, if you come up in front of the cafe. Not a large car park either, so best to go out of season, or arrive very early. Lovely drive through the preseli hills to get to it.
Think it's changed it's name to The Shack, outside eating so definitely dog friendly has parking and a toilet for customers. Nice and relaxed menu, like Ploughman's Rolls, loads of ice cream varieties.
Lovely café, very reasonably priced with great choice of food and cakes. Very dog friendly with doggy snacks. Friendly staff too. Lovely local café
Visited the shop rather than the cafe, staff were super friendly and relaxed, items were well priced. We also rented a couple of kayaks (good value for money at £12.50 per hour, 2 hours standard) and whilst it was a good workout taking them down to the beach and back, we were more than happy to take our money here, rather than somewhere more convenient, the gentleman shop owner was just lovely. He advised us where to see dolphins, which we did, coming within a foot of them, which was one of the best experiences of the trip, also saw seals and a peregrine falcon, lots of seabirds, marine life and a beautiful way to see the landscape and coast. Would fully recommend????
An unfortunate encounter with a very rude, monosyllabic member of staff. We had popped in to enquire about kayak hire and after asking if it was possible to hire that day. A flat ‘no’. Nothing else. After asking if there was the possibility of hiring later that week… ‘dunno’. Would you be able to find out? ‘No’.
I have to say that this individual did a complete disservice to a very friendly, warm village where we have only had positive experiences.
A shame, as it’s out is off returning to the cafe too.
Suffice to say we won’t ask there again and hired off another local company who were extremely polite and helpful!
Great location and friendly staff. It serves typical cafe food, but the quality is good for the price. I had a lovely salad with some nice cuts of Welsh ham. Really good ice cream with interesting flavours (white choc and raspberry, rocky road, candy floss).
Had 5 food rating on door but was very surprised when l asked to try two different flavours of ice cream they asked for my empty trial scoop back which l had used to use again for second flavour! Have given two stars as a rating for the ice cream. Otherwise no stars because of food hygiene.
