I went out for dinner this past Friday night expecting a quiet meal on the lake and what I got was unexpected. When we arrived the hostess and bartender told us that it was too cold to sit out on the dock and have dinner. After going back and forth with them for 10 minutes they finally let us sit outside and enjoy the 75 degree weather. Once out by the lake we were surrounded by the natural scenery as well as frogs and birds, until a female worker came out and shooed the frogs off of the patio.
Our service throughout dinner was incredibly slow, and our waitress repetitively told us our food was on the way, when in fact it was not. The total wait time for my salad was upward of 30 minutes.
Once my pineapple/coconut shrimp salad came I was utterly shocked. My salad reeked of alcohol, and tasted like pure vodka. I could hardly eat half. Following the salad, I actually had to let the other person I came with drive home, because I was a minor. I didn't feel comfortable driving in case I were to get pulled over.
I will not be returning to Waters Edge anytime soon.
We went here for a nice anniversary dinner and had a disappointing meal. We were given a free dessert, (Not fresh, but pre-packaged and unappetizing). We were also given a $25 gift card and the management encouraged us to give them another chance. We went on a Thursday for the seafood buffet only to find out that it is no longer available. We ordered fish and chips. It was AWFUL! When we tried to use our gift card they did not accept it. We had to pay for yet another bad dining experience. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Tried for the first time tonight and will never go back. Worst food I think I have ever had. I ordered the tequila shrimp that were horrific. Tasted like rubber, could bearly swallow. Has my husband tried one but after biting into it went right to the bathroom to spit it out. Rice was bland and unable to eat. Soup was disgusting. Poor service. Hard to believe how this place is open. The few people near us looked just as disappointed in the food as we were. They need real help.
Worst experience ever. I wouldn't ever recommend anyone to have a wedding at this location until they are under new ownership AND management. The manager has to be on a power trip or angry at life to basically try to ruin a wedding day. They were openly talking badly about the wedding and bride. They made part of the bridal party take down the whole dining room so they could set up for brunch the next day, making us miss the father daughter dance and part of the bridal party dance. The food was not what the bride and groom had ordered and it was terrible. The water smelled like rotten eggs. The bathrooms were pretty gross. By the end of the night we were all so fed up with these people we had as many guest as we could help so we could get every last thing out of there so we never had to go back. AND this is only part of the craziness that went on. Again worst experience ever and it seems they do not know how to run a business. Stay clear of this place
Stopped last evening for prime rib. We weren't finished with our salads when the prime rib and sour cream/chive mashed potatoes were served. Our waitress asked if there was anything else we needed. We asked where the vegetable medley of the day was? Our waitress came back and told us that the cook forgot to make them. About seven minutes later our vegetables arrived. But that's not my complaint. Don't bother ordering the prime rib. I have never seen a cut of prime rib that looked like this before. It was about a half inch thick flimsy (not firm) cut of meat that looked more like a rib eye steak that had been reheated from a previous time. It was tough and had a definite warmed over flavor. It was the same color throughout such as a roast would look when reheated the day after. No blood, no pink, with about 1/2 of the 'prime rib' being fat globules, As a cut of meat, whatever it was, it was the worst cut of meat I have ever been served. If I would have had the option, I would have given the Friday night prime rib dinner at Waters Edge a big fat zero. Avoid the prime rib dinner at Waters Edge at any cost. You won't be disappointed that you did.
On June 22nd, 2016, my wife end I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary at The Water's Edge. This is the place we got married at and had our wedding reception at (though, it was called the 400 Supper Club back then). Still beautiful as ever, the dance area is remodeled with a new state of the art bar and loses none of its charm or elegance. We were fortunate that they've lately been introducing all you can eat buffets on certain nights of the week. Wednesday happened to be chicken. Wow, knock you out delicious. Three different prepared types of chicken, stuffing, garlic skin mashed potatoes, corn, full salad bar and soft bakery rolls. Plus deserts. I will most certainly come back and tell many others that, not only was it very affordable for the quantity and quality of food, but, you can't beat how terrific the staff had treated us. I've had my share of "all you can eat" buffets and they can't touch how delicious this meal was. Excellent is all I could keep saying. Takes nothing but an extra 5-10 minutes to get to. Make it worth your while and go find out for yourself.

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would. On a Thursday night, the manager (dark hair, dark beard) shut off every light on me and an old friend. Their open until 1am, but this happened at 11 pm. We wanted another pitcher, but there was no service. I had to find to bathroom in the dark...unbelievable. 4 stars if your early enough. The waitresses were excellent, though!
They have very bad service. The inside always smells like sewage. There are not enough tables. Also You don't move a Halloween party from Saturday to Friday a couple weeks ahead of time. You had all of what, MAYBE 40 people there. Then to top it off you said your costume contest was at midnight but someone who came in at 12:15am won. I'm not seeing how that is fair to everyone else. Playing favorites I guess. Don't go here unless you know the staff or you're screwed.
