Nice hidden gem that’s not really hidden for a speak easy. Great selection of bourbon and several other options to choose from for the non bourbon drinkers. The staff was busy but always very friendly. We were there around 6PM on a Saturday as it started to get busy. It was nice to be able to watch playoff NFL football while there. Go relax and have a pour.
Fabulous speakeasy lounge. Loved the atmosphere and drinks. Patrons and owners were very friendly. Enjoyed it so much we went back the next night. I can’t wait to take another trip to Bardstown to come back to The Volstead again.
Absolutely great place to have a drink! The entrance is in the rear, speakeasy style. Walk in and find your way to the bar and you'll enjoy a very large collection of whiskey. The bottles are laid out according to price. The owner was behind the bar when we visited and made a great Old Fashioned and recommended a good bourbon by asking what I had liked before. We will definitely be stopping in anytime we're in the Bardstown area. Do yourself a favor and visit this place!
What a great place and fun atmosphere to enjoy the “speakeasy of yesteryear”. Incredible selection of Bourbon to make up your perfect tasting flight or cocktail. I ordered a glass of wine and the request was a little out of the bartenders wheelhouse but nonetheless everyone there was friendly bourbon knowledgeable!
Wow! Bodie the owner knows bourbon. Great Old Fashioned and many other custom creations , like The Game Changer. Felt like an honor to just hang out and discuss the various bourbons in the bars collection. Love hanging out here.

What a lovely place. They have over 600 bottles of bourbon. Their shelves are separated by price and marked so you can browse visually. The flavored drinks we very nice. Totally should be on everyone's to do list. They also have shirts and sweatshirts.
AMAZING cocktails served in a cool speakeasy type of space by terrific people. This will be our go-to when in beautiful Bardstown. Excellent lineup of bourbon, and expertly creative cocktails, in a cozy intimate setting.
As it is stated by themself - easy speakeasy - speakeasy style bar but there's no such a passcode - open to anyone so you can get inside without background knowledge.
Bartender was very kind and he even allow me to take a picture behind the bar table.
I liked the vibe and their bourbon selection as well.
I paid $100+ but it was because I ordered rare one, average price is round $10~20 that you can choose for a shot.
