Average. The burger looked nice and was ok tasting. Unfortunately there wasn’t any of the delicious honey roasted carrots or red cabbage, otherwise I would have had the roast.
The loaded fries weren’t nice just would not recommend. The home cooked chips on the burger however were very nice.
Went two weekends ago and the food was much nicer than this time round
Lovely welcome from a very professional & polite gentleman. The rest of the waiting staff hovered, watching, almost waiting to swoop in & they did as soon as my son put his knife & fork down, his plate was taken...we were still eating & he hadn't finished. I think they were trying to look busy, but it was uncomfortable being 'watched' & we felt rushed. The food was lovely though, the best cauliflower cheese I've ever had!
Service was terrible, the waitress rushing us to finish our meals and plonking down the ice creams. Sunday carvery was ok but not a huge selection and over priced compared to local pubs. The children's meals were a joke, pizza is two small squares - the kids were still hungry and we had to buy another meal elsewhere!
We stumbled on this place accidentally while visiting Cheshire Outdoors and initially just popped in for coffee to warm up. Once we saw how great the menu was for dietary needs we couldn't resist trying lunch and it didn't disappoint. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, good understanding of gluten free food requirements & food prep which was really reassuring. Food reasonably priced. 5 of us had drink each plus either a light bite (sandwich, jacket) plus fries and water and the bill equated to £12 each which wasn't bad at all.

Came here a few years ago and had fond memories so decided to come back whilst in the area. Wow. Gone downhill is an understatement. Pretty much what everybody else has said... poor quality foe the price. Reformed turkey, dry beef, Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard it had clearly been there so long. The carrots weren't even peeled which is just lazy! Considering there are so many alternatives in the area I would give this a wide berth.
The food was excellent, the carvery’s are always superb.
always lovely there, great food, amenities, have a good laugh with carvery cutter (one of the few carvery’s where they don’t aim to get 10,000 slice out of everything and give you good amount. Love that.
We go quite often as live round the corner and 90% of the staff are always superb except our initial server this time who was just dam right rude, direct and obv on a bad day. That aside that was a one off, so I’m not holding my experience against them.
Ordered food off main menu as well, and it’s ok, huge sandwiches, and main body of menu is pretty good.
Service was ok but not great, and the breakfast was below average at best. Eggs wernt fresh and were rubber like, the black pudding was so overcooked it was differcult to cut with the knife.
I shan't be going back.
Had a last minute breakfast which was pretty good. Was near the end of the breakfast time but food was still fresh. Good place to eat. Will visit again.
