Visited this local farm shop this morning. What a perfect village shop. Well stocked with some excellent local produce and lovely baking. Everything you could need for a meal or snack while visiting the area.
If you are in the area, you MUST visit The Village Farm Shop. They stock the most amazing produce from local suppliers and farmers. They also make delicious fresh food, from sandwiches and scones, to pies and cakes. Their meat is also amazing. Definitely do your food shop here if you're visiting or live close by.
Hi, We called at the village farm shop on 18 April for a sandwich for lunch. I chose some carrot cake which was priced at £3.35, a egg mayo sandwich, a cheese savoury sandwich, a small pork pie, a small quiche, a can of Ribena (69p) a can of apple juice (£1.55) and two bags of crisps. I was told I qualified for a meal deal at £5 for one sandwich, one of the bags of crisps and the Ribena, i was charged a total of £29. I didn’t query the amount at the time due to the large queue but it seems extortionate? Most of the deli items didn’t have a price on, be careful and ask before buying. Food was ok but nothing to warrant such a price.
Such a sweet little village shop in embleton! Seels an excellent range of essentials including fresh bakery products and local meats! Perfect when you are on holiday and need to pick up a few extras! Had a post office too! People working there are lovely amd very welcoming
We have a holiday home in the next village and visit this small farm shop most weekends when we’re up and we recommend it to all our friends and family who visit - they have never been disappointed and think the shop is amazing too! The fresh food, pastries etc are all so tasty and the range of tinned / dried goods is excellent - you get what you pay for - real quality. The quiches, sausages rolls etc are delicious. We feel very lucky that this kind of small farm shop (with such a wide range of products) is so close and handy to stop for a picnic before heading down to the beach. The self-service coffee machine delivers great coffee too.
Just met their new member of staff - a young man. Honestly, thought you should know how great he was! So refreshing to be served by a young person with such great people skills.
He was so cheerful, gave us a warm welcome on arrival and chatted as he served us efficiently - what a lovely chap! He proudly told us he worked there full time and was local - we think you’ve got yourself a real asset there!
On holiday in Embleton for the week and how lucky we are to have this fab store on our doorstep. Fresh bread, cakes & essentials + a fridge with smoked kipper pate and other goodies. The ladies in the shop were super friendly & helpful too.
What a fantastic little farm shop this is. The pork pies are the best we've EVER had. The embleton sausages were absolutely amazing too,so tasty, easy to eat, loved them. The fresh loaves of bread were very nice too. Variety of fresh veg and ,pastries was very good. Really well stocked shop and if ever we're passing by in our motorhome again we shall be calling for our supplies as we like to spend our money in local areas whenever possible and the roadside parking made it an easy visit. Lovely village.
This was a brilliant find on our travels, the quiches we had from the bakery section were superb, as was the sourdough bread. A great range of products many for the health and/or environmentally conscious. Recommended!
