Fish cooked to order,
Pleasant staff,
It's becoming a regular for me and my wife,
Great food, can't fault it.
This chippy came highly recommended so I thought I would make the journey from Oldham 16 miles away only to find it was closed 10 minutes earlier than advertised
So all I can tell you about this chippy is the staff are liars and lazy complete waste of time and money absolutely disgusting
YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR ACTUAL WORKING HOURS BEFORE YOU RUIN SOMEBODY'S ELSE DAY
Very clean place, friendly staff and really nice fish
We ate in the cafe excellent food and the sevice was great
Can be very busy at times as the chippy is very popular but the food is always good and worth the short wait, everything on the menu is made to order so if you're having fish, order it as soon as you arrive!
Shop is always clean and the staff are lovely

We've been eating at Lisa's forever and never had anything other than a Great experience. It's just a lovely place to go to for lunch or Tea.
Eat in or takeout, the quality is just the same. Lovely fresh, fish in light-batter, plate-pie, chips & endless brews ????????

Without doubt the cleanest Fish and Chip shop I,ve ever visited! Absolutely spotless, including the dining area , I work throughout the UK and hand on heart I,ve never been in a place as pristine as this one, lovely food and very friendly ladys too! 5 Star all the way! “ To many times I’ve drove past this Wonderful eating establishment “
Part of my job is to visit the lovely little hamlet of “Stubbins “ on a regular basis , to my detriment I have driven past “ the Village Chippy “ every time !! But as from today No More ! Today I asked one of my customers “ What’s the Chippy like on the corner ?” The customer said “ it’s the best for miles , there might be a bit of a queue when you get there but it’s well worth the wait “ So in I went , first impressions were how clean it was , and instantly the staff behind the counter greeted me with smiles “ “ What you having ? “ I scanned the very clear menu on the board and went for “ Fish chips and curry ( no tea cake because I’m watching my waist line ) please ???? “ Quick as a flash they were wrapped up , ( very reasonable price ) I was back in my car unwrapping my diner !!! All I can say is “ I never wanted my diner to end “ it’s was fabulous fish and chips finished of with the curry sauce and washed down with a can of Original Dandelion and Burdock “
To end my review I have to say I will never drive by “ the Village Chippy again, I will endeavour to complete the Menu Board over the coming months !! Smashing!!
