Easily one of the best and friendliest pubs I've been to in a long time. Excellent staff, fair priced drinks with the taps given the full respect they deserve. Locals were great fun and would definitely stop by again.
Great little village pub/bar, warm and friendly welcome, great selection of draught beer and a number of guest stout, ale's and beers.
Plenty of seating and tables, comfortable, clean and light inside.
Couple of large screen TV's which shows sporting events, football etc.
Off road street parking close by.
Felt welcome from the start. Arrived to a really nice gentleman who was one of the nicest most helpful chaps I've met. It was like staying with family. Excellent breakfast provided, quiet and peaceful. Best nights sleep I'd had in years
Lovely atmosphere,live music weekends. friendly well mannered staff. Very clean. Good selection of cask:-). Bar snacks Panninies, toasties and fresh sandwiches on sale. Beautiful b&b upstairs. ALL sports shown. 3 televisions!!!Highly recommended⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I felt it was a bit overpriced for shared facilities. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are done out to a high spec. Spotless and confortable. However, there was no hot water in the morning, and noone to contact - turned out I had been in the building all night completely on my own. Not sure what would have happened had there been a fire/ emergency.
The cleaner - Patsy - was a legend. Luckily she answered my call, sorted out the hot water problem and put my mind at ease. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have stayed the second night. The landlord made no attempt to make contact or make amends.
Room was cold, radiator didn't seem to work. On the second night, other drunk guests came in at 3.30am and woke me up.
In hindsight, it wasn't awful, but at the time it was all a bit unnerving as a female on my own.
I visited this pub last night, twice. This morning I have a hangover, can this fact be related? I guess so but its a good pub and there was entertainment on too. Loads of fine real ales which I sampled and overall no problems here.
This pub has been transformed by the current owners. Nothing is too much trouble, have various drink offers throughout the week. You can eat takeaways in the pub as well. Regulars and new are welcomed alike.
I Enjoyed staying at The Vaults because it wasn't a big hotel a small Bed& Breakfast , nicely fitted kitchen to cook your own meals, basics for breakfast, cereals, fruit, toast etc.
seperated bathrooms very nice and clean. Great sleep in a very comfortable bed, Chinese takeaway next door, for food, two other pubs across the road to eat if you wanted, went to Chester, Chirk, Llangollen, all central from Ruabon.. thanks c u over Xmas period ????
