Friendly staff, very kind and helpful. They really seemed to work as a team. Eggs Royale was great, as was the English breakfast. Tables outside were lovely on a sunny day. Liked it.
Popped in to the Ugly Mug after an impromptu trip to the area. Staff were friendly and the decor pleasant. We both decided to go for paninis, BBQ beef and pulled pork. Both turned up with a nicely crisped panini and no shortage of filling, clearly freshly made. The side salad and slaw were tasty and plentiful. Great coffee and resonable prices too.
Will be back the next time we are in the area.
The best breakfast we had for a long time. I requested 2 changes to my dish and nothing was an issue. My boyfriend now wants to drive on regular bases from cardiff to eat brunches here. Eggs royale and breakfast mess totally recommend ????
Very good breakfast & reasonably priced. Only thing I’d change is they serve the sauces in a pot. But a great breakfast for me anyway 10/10
Great place and lovely, helpful staff. As a lone female, they always make me feel welcome and at ease.
Breakfasts are fab, portions are generous and are always cooked well. Prices are very good.
As food is cooked from fresh, some people who are used to 'instant' culture may be disappointed with having to wait (especially if they are very busy) for food to cook. All I can say is, it is their loss.
Visited on a Saturday late morning, very friendly staff, super quick service and a lovely all day breakfast with excellent quality bacon and sausages ???? . Will be back!

Lovely coffee. Fast service and great value. Much preferred as an independent to the large corporate coffee chains in Chepstow!
We enjoyed our lunch at The Ugly Mug. The ladies definitely are NOT Ugly Mugs and gave a warm welcome and great service. The food is homely and delicious. Recommended.
