The only reason I’m not giving this 5* is because it says “dine in” when it’s actually take away only.
I am working in the area and was looking for somewhere for lunch and this place was recommended to me. I was a bit sceptical about this place as the pictures on google and from street view don’t do the place any favours at all. This is tucked in the bottom corner of this mini industrial estate and you could easily miss it if you didn’t know it was here.
Food wise.. brilliant! Came here late lunch so they were running low on a few bits which tells me this place gets busy. Portion sizes were generous and the price was decent too, I don’t understand these people who are moaning about it being too expensive??
I will be coming back here for sure when I’m next in the area!
Been coming for years but don't bother much these days due to the extortionate prices. £3.50 for a large portion when i started going and now up to £6 for the same food? Well above inflation. It's nice, but it's not upwards of £30 a week, £120 a month for your lunch break nice, which is what it would be if I still went everyday as I did before, im sure there's many in the same boat as me. New woman serving with them is hit and miss to whether you'll even get what you asked for and she didn't even know what was actually on the specials yesterday, mid dinner time too! Bring back mark and make her take her retirement! Yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back when I got charged £5.50 for a chicken curry with the smallest portion of sauce on, my chips and rice were still largely dry, which isn't what I am accustom too at the twisted apron. Sorry but it was disappointing on the price and service this time.
Been going for years, food brilliant, prices fair and I had a philly cheese steak baguette yesterday which was out of this world which is why I had to leave a review. Friendly staff. Younger kid good crack. It wouldn’t hurt if the owner could smile now and then, often seems like she’d rather be anywhere else in the world than being in there.
Mouthwatering food. Tikka burger very nice yesterday and cheesecake delicious. Handy location with working nearby. Agree with other comment about the manager. Sometimes the service is let down by her mannerisms and attitude towards both staff and customers but food rating 5 without doubt????
Went in the other week stuck to door matt at the front, staff not wearing gloves but touching money and food.
Also putting fresh chips on top of old. It should be the other way round so old food goes first.
Beef dips are lovely it's a shame the few things above let it down
This sandwhich shop is lovely. The prices are fab and they don't over price their amazing home made food.
Hot beef sarnie with onions is my favourite but they sell a lot more than that.
The staff are very helpful and friendly so the shop is always busy.
They also sell delicious cakes for dessert.
Bit hit and miss. Sometimes it's lovely but then other times not as good. Handy stop off with working nearby though and the prices are decent
