Great food, really tasty everytime and well presented. Always good desserts on offer too. Decent cocktails. I love that they have the entertainment on Thursdays and the pub has a great atmosphere. Recommend coming here for food on special occasions if wanting to go local.
We booked a meal for my Dad's Birthday last week and we can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. From the minute we walked in the service was impeccable and the staff and owners were so friendly. They recommended dishes and the quality of the food was superb. The desserts... Well absolutely beautiful, Leanne you are a talent! All round a great place to eat and drink. Highly recommended. Thank you from us all x
This place is a real hidden gem. A country style pub with a lovely contemporary extension hosting a lovely restaurant. Since discovering this place we've been back five times in six months, taking good friends & family, spreading the word and recommending this place to everyone who wants to take their loved ones out to somewhere special just to treat them to a fantastic meal in gorgeous surroundings. ❤️????????
We came to the tilted barrel with a grandparent for a late lunch on a weekend. Therefore this review is just of the restaurant not the hotel. There is a large amount of free parking but it seemed very busy so plan ahead. Service was friendly and professional if a little slow (only one staff member was handling all orders and serving). All the meals had good portion sizes for the price. I had the pie with veg for my main. The pie was good quality and the veg selection was decent but as others have said the choice to part peel but not roast them meant they let the rest of the meal down. The pudding however was terrific.
Can’t wait for this place to re-open, missing a pint in the bar after our walks and the great food in Russell’s. We’ve ate here on numerous occasions and never had a bad meal so would definitely recommend...friendly and knowledgable staff too. Roll on lifting restrictions and getting some normality back.
Each & every time I have dined here ive enjoyed the food & how its served. When i have been with others and seeing different choices they all look delicious cant fault it at all. Service is good. Its clean & well set out. Wash rooms are very clean. Carpark close by there are steps to entrance to restaurant area but there is also a ramp leading into the entrance of the building. There's also a separate bar to have a drink & a TV on the wall. Lovely decor through out.
Thoroughly recommend.

A last minute choice for some food on a Sunday afternoon. Very glad we did.
