Such a lovely surprise! We were visiting Lewes and just wanting a nice cup of tea, and stumbled upon this lovely gem. The back room had a lovely tea service, including a small escape room game that can be played, great service, tasty scones. It did fill up quickly as only 4-5 tables in the back, so there could be a wait (but it is worth it!)
Delicious afternoon tea and fantastic service. Everything was homemade and made fresh to order with a great selection of tea. Very accommodating too. I emailed in advance to book for a Sunday as not usually open and this was arranged for us. Setting also very nice, well decorated. Highly recommend to everyone!!!
Took my daughter here for a special treat this afternoon. it was so lovely, exactly what you think of when you think Garden Tea room. The decor inside was so quaint, beautiful bone china tea sets and lots of attention to detail. We were greeted by Siobhan who was the perfect balance of attentive and leaving us to our tea. We had the full afternoon tea, the sandwiches were lovely, the scones were delicious...we were actually too full and took our cakes home in sweet little cake boxes. Definitely recommend, even just for a cup of tea...it's just so cute inside!
My experience at the Tea Garden was absolutely fantastic! A lovely ambience paired with delicious food! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a affordable and enjoyable Afternoon Tea.
Amazing experience for Mothers Day, excellent fresh baked scones (served still warm) great sandwiches and cakes, good selection of seemingly bottomless Tea, and fantastic themed and decorated venue - truly faultless service and atmosphere
What a lovely Tea Room, beautiful food, especially the gorgeous scones and lovely atmosphere. Sophia, who served us was a joy and the owner, very nice man who stopped to have a chat and explain about the refurb, very interesting. A lovely treat from my son for Mother’s Day and great company with his wife and children. Would most definitely visit again if in Lewis again.
Absolutely gorgeous place! Beautiful vintage and art deco decor; lovely and cosy inside, with a fabulous little garden for warmer weather. Delicious teas and lunches, with home made scones, quiches, sandwiches; all beautifully presented on vintage tableware. We had a lovely lunch of smoked salmon sandwiches, with an everlasting pot of tea and a delicious scone. I'm looking forward to our next visit!
Had a great time at The Tea Garden. Great prices, delicious scones and amazing leaf teas in lovely china cups. The owner is very friendly and really knows his stuff. The place it is gorgeous. We enjoyed having a cuppa in the cosy coffee area at the front but couldn’t resist giving a peep to the wonderful tea room. Overall, a great place which I would highly recommend. If in Lewes, you must go!
