Stayed at the local Haven camp, visited this local pub a few times to watch the football. Short walk from the camp. Staff are friendly, beer is reasonably priced, Carlsberg, Kronenberg etc. Few people in at the weekend but quieter in the week. Covid aware. Would recommend and visit again.
We enjoyed our drinks in the Tavern. Nice pub and very welcoming friendly staff. Drink prices very reasonable.
What a fantastic pub! We arrived to a couple of locals having a drink, very friendly staff, lovely lager, more locals came in and treated us really well. I don’t think there was a single customer who didn’t speak to us, We felt so welcome and ended up staying most the night, we will be returning most definitely! Oh and the kebab and pizza attached to the pub is fab aswell and brought our food to our table and was delicious!

The Tavern is a fantastic place, really friendly pub with nice beer, great atmosphere.....& some of the best live music around. Would highly recommend.....especially when 'Love Songs for Losers' are playing!! Xx❤xX
Stopped for a drink during a trek along the Angles Way walk. It was lunchtime and pretty quiet and doesn't do food.
It could do with a makeover as is rather dated but the barmaid was friendly and I enjoyed my beer!
Oh dear. Just an atrocious pub. Dirty, decaying and with just one ale on. Not a slaughter house but absolutely no atmosphere.
There are reasons why some pubs are shutting down. This has all of those reasons.
Great pub. great staff. Polite been many times over the years. Thumbs up from me
