I live in the Old town,and gave it another go today, a portion of chips £3:50 not freshly cooked, hard and cold. Will travel to hatfield heath instead much better fish n chip shop.
Friendly staff but my food was absolutely disgusting the jumbo batter sausage was horrible. The chips was raw in the middle and was not cooked properly. I will never go back there again. If I could I'd give zero stars!

We’ve been using this family run takeaway for as long as I can remember, the food is always awesome and the family are very friendly . Wouldn’t go anywhere else .
Absolutely first class. Fish cooked quickly to order. Chips perfect. Definitely not saturated in cooking oil.

Order was delivered without drinks, called the restaurant constantly for 30 mins but engaged. Check you order before letting the driver go, food was average chips luke warm.
Absolutely awful. A large cod was more like a stickle back dry as a Trex bone and nasty chips. Should have looked at reviews they slag off other food establishments to try to get customers to eat there sub par offerings. Really does smack of desperation.
Friendly staff but terrible food.
Cold hard chips and beef sausages. Should really tell you if they are not serving pork. We called to say the chips were cold and hard and was told "They know that the chips are hard and it's because of the type of potatoes used".
Been eating chips for donkey's year's and have NEVER come across hard chips.
