Chanced a walk-in & so glad we did. Amazing fresh tasty food, we savoured each course served by excellent people who talked us through the menu/specials on offer too. Well worth a visit, snug & welcoming place, you can tell its a well loved. We'lll be back to sample some of the other delights on the menu. Fab place, just go!!.
From start to finish this place is way more than 5 star. . can honestly say it's the best food I've had in a long time...It's run by Jason who is almost 21 but has the maturity of someone older, is mannerly to everyone & attentive without being annoying.He decorated the place during lockdown,has a small outdoor section but is looking to extend that. The young waitress who works with him is also lovely. You simply must try this place .

We found this little gem after a long walk when we were desperate for a loo and some food. What a fortunate fine. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Really good value for money as none of the prices made you catch your breath. The space is cute and cosy and social distancing and hygiene are followed carefully without making you uncomfortable. Friendly service was just the cherry on top. Set in the cutest little village as well. I highly recommend this little restaurant and I know we will be back soon and repeatedly to work our way through the menu.
Brilliant restaurant definitely deserves a 5star rating. Staff and food well worth the journey. We live in Cowdenbeath, our daughter and family in Dunfermline, but we loved it at Tartan Rooster. Prices are fair too.
We were pleased to stop here for lunch. They were happy to serve us although it was 4pm. The food was delicious at a very good price and the people working there were very nice. We will definitely stop there again soon
Lovely, friendly atmosphere. Very well looked after and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the restaurant or just popping in for a drink in the bar or beer garden, dog friendly bar and beer garden. Thank you for a great Sunday lunch.
