Lovely welcome by the locals. Friendly landlord. Big garden, but sadly no food served at the moment.
Went in today (father's day) for a couple (as you do, wife driving) met Trevor what a lovely man, very knowledgeable about the area and history of the building. Cheapest pint of beer I've bought for a long time, yes it's not the greatest decor but the atmosphere and the area doesn't do it justice Trevor you are a star. We will be back you so welcoming you deserve more support to keep this iconic pub giong ????????????????????????.These pubs are our heritage and need saving.
My personal favourite pub in the county. Very friendly and helpful landlord, always happy to have a chat, whether it's about sport, the beer, or general knowledge. Friendly locals, 50p pool, free billiards, great beer garden and ample parking. It's not the Dorchester but it's a proper local pub!
Old school traditional pub, took me back a bit, too few of them left. Building and grounds could do with some investment, however the beer was cheap and excellent.
Will definitely return.
Haven't been there in years. My husband used to live in Tarrington and we decided with some friends to go down memory lane. Went to the Tarrington Arms to have some food only to find out they don't seve food anymore. The landlord was amiable and we enjoyed looking at the old photos displayed one was of my hubby's family when his dad won the world ploughing competition. The pub was looking a bit tired but it was a pleasant experience and the beer wax good. ????
The way pubs used to be. Very cheap beer and good selection of crisps. Half expected Double Diamond or Brew XI to be on tap.
Trevor is great, will be stopping in next time we pass. Great if you want to pop in and play bar billiards, pool, darts etc. Really realising and had lovely for going! ????
OK dog friendly pub. Always got a good real ale on tap. Very friendly landlord ,Trevor popular with the locals
