Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!! We came downtown cause Bae wanted to watch the Pacer game someplace other than home and I wanted to be someplace other than home, so we choose the Tap. What a wonderful choice we made!!! The atmosphere was great, our server was amazeballs and our food was beyond delicious. We only got appetizers with our drinks and they were both delicious AF. Our server was attentive and courteous as AF also. We will come back to watch the other games, this location deserved our time and money.
Came in on a trivia night and Madie T. was extremely kind and helpful. I was really struggling on what to order and she spent time to thoroughly explain the menu and talk me through my options. She was quick, fun, and resourceful. One of the best BEST service experiences I have had. On top of that the food was amazing. It was fresh, quick and delicious. I got the Philly cheese steak and it was superb. + you can’t miss out on the Tap Fries as a starter, they come with 4 sauces and each one will leave you wondering which you love more. I will definitely be back and had the best time dining on the patio with the best service and food!
Stopped into The Tap while visiting Indianapolis wanting to enjoy a local brew. Totally happy with my choice. It was worth the walk. The Tap was smaller than I would have thought, but had a great sports bar kind of vibe.
But the beer ... what about the beer? First the names were great - Bionic Dragon ... good, right? I enjoyed two pours ... the Iron Bunny, a black IPA, and Kill The Lights, a Russian Imperial Stout. I had a second half pour of the stout ... super great! Just what I needed for the cold walk back to the hotel. Micro beer not your deal? They had plenty of other choices for you as well.
I didn't have any actual food, but I did enjoy some tater tots with my beer and the football game. Go Colts. You should stop in for a good local beer and the sporting event of your choice.
This is my go-to happy place when I am in Indianapolis area. The location is amazing, plenty of paid street parking available. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming. Great selection of ????s home brew and guest taps. You will find all the different beers you want to try. The food is great especially monthly special burgers. The atmosphere is just amazing.
I really enjoy the tap every time I go. I have a lot of fun with a big group. They can handle big groups and you seat yourself. You can choose any place you like, but the wait staff tends to be busy quite often. So service is a bit slow. Though the wait staff is often quite nice. Good beers, good vibes, and fun trivia nights. They have an amazing fireplace outside and good American food with it (fries/pizza/burgers/etc). If you're looking for a nice night out, definitely a good place to take a nice sized group to have a few drinks and eat some decent food!
Niles is amazing!! I walked in to get a drink and Niles was delivering a baby via C-Section. Amazing feat, but what was more impressive was the fact that I ordered a drink, and he continued to deliver the baby while simultaneously pouring my drink (Without spilling a drop!!?). Never missed a beat. This multitasking extraordinaire will not disappoint! I would highly recommend visiting here just to see his knife, torch, kitten juggling while riding a unicycle through a flaming hoop trick and maybe their burgers. Niles is best and the food is on point amazing too!
My favorite spot on Mass Ave in downtown Indy, hands down! Food is excellent and service is just as good. Huge outdoor seating area, fires going during the evenings. Inside is also spacious with three different sections for dining. Large bar in the front with a lot of seating. You can almost always find a spot here even during peak hours.
And well, if you like beer this is the place for you in downtown Indy. Rotating tap with 80+ choices & over 200 choices in cans and bottles. From local brews to international favorites, they have it all. They do serve liquors as well, somewhat limited selection but decent variety of bourbon. I highly recommend The Tap!
Madie was my server today and displayed the best customer service ability I have ever seen. I sat outside during Trivia night and had a delightful experience here at the tap—good food, good environment, and spectacular service. She made me feel so comfortable and amplified the entire dining experience. This restaurant is definitely very lucky to have her on their staff.
