Very welcoming staff food was amazing good price will definitely be going here again probably my favourite place to eat had Christmas dinner here too and it was amazing.
Had not been here in more than 30 years. But very impressed with the food and environment. Food quality Very good. Service the same. Price slightly higher than similar pubs in the area. But definitely worth a visit
Called in for lunch , got the curry special , it came to £55 for lunch , really , I mean 2 drinks and a curry special, my lady ordered prawn starter , for £11 three prawns for 11 quid I ask you , don't get me wrong the lamb was very nice , but very op for a quick lunch .

Could not fault the food each course as good as the other. Surroundings are comfortable, service by young people who tried to give a good service.
We were meeting friends so booked for 7.30,but pub empty by 9.15ish.
Needless to say we were last in with drinks .
Unfortunately it was obvious that we were holding the staff from closing which in turn made us feel uncomfortable.
Moral of the story, .Book early ,enjoy the food and let the staff go home.
I had the lamb rump and new potatoes special very good cooked to perfection , great service and good draft beers well worth a visit.
Just visited this pub for 50th do, bit of a nightmare going up and down stairs for drinks but the service behind the bar was really slow, guessing not used that many people in a village pub.. that said the buffet was outstanding....
Staff were really friendly and helpful, the starters my wife and I had were lovely, however the Talbot 8oz beef burger was not great, the first burger was under cooked and was taken back by the waitress. I was told it was the bacon in the burger that was the pink part. I was brought a second Talbot 8oz beef burger from the kitchen and it was no different really, but I was told that it was a homemade burger that's why it was pink. In my opinion it tasted nothing like a beef burger homemade or not!!! We both had the lemon cheesecake for dessert which was really nice. I must admit the staffs attitude towards us did change by the end of the night after complaining about the food. Very over priced pub food at the end of the day.
Had Sunday lunch today and it was amazing. The service was outstanding The food was outstanding and we will definitely be back.
