We loved our visit to taco depot for multiple reasons!
We were greeted promptly and had our drink order in within a couple minutes at most.
We ordered a variety of the street tacos, along with chips, guacamole, and queso. I asked for some spicier salsa and was brought two options :)!
Our waiter, Josh, was amazing! He made an already great experience, a fabulous one!!! He was amazing with our kids and paid close attention to us with multiple check ins. We will be back MANY times.
The kids loved the Burrito, corn dogs, and quesadilla. No complaints, only good comments :)!
I love how the entire building is laid out inside. Open concept, booths and table setup as well as a bar area. Next time we will have to test the margaritas.
I hope you give this place a shot! I love that we now have a place in Cedar Rapids where we can easily get authentic street tacos :) in a freestanding location!
If you can’t stop in, they have a drive through as well!!
We tried this place for take home, thru the drive thru. We ordered fajita Quesadillas, and a chicken taco salad, some sides of elotes, and beans. The corn was full of strings, and dented like it was left over from days ago, a drizzle of mayo, and sprinkle of spices. Not edible. The taco salad had about a tablespoon of chicken. And the beans were not refried beans as expected. We would not recommend, nor will we go back.
Place is Amazing. Went through the drive thru the other night ordered 2 burritos and 4 taco Ramirez,( steak taco Ramirez A++). Also had one of the best Tequila drinks I've ever had. Definitely gained 2 returning customer's.????
We are in Iowa from out of town and my son randomly chose The Taco Depot out of a google search. We were not disappointed! Salsa and queso were great. We tried most of the tacos that they had to offer between the two of us and each was absolutely fantastic!! Really, you can’t go wrong. To top it off, the service that we received was fast and friendly. We left wishing that we had a Taco Depot in our home state.
My fiance and I shared our first kiss here around when they first opened. We frequently come here and sit at the bar if it's available. The service is usually always on point.
The place is reasonable compared to like almost anywhere else. The margaritas and tacos are always good, the queso is pretty bomb. ????
Great service. Blue raspberry margarita was FANTASTIC! Tacos Ramirez were great, again. The Avocado sauce would be my new ketchup if they sold it in bottles. And the burrito was good too, Jim said.

Missed a queso we ordered to go.
Only one front of house person so not a big deal.
Everytime we call in or go to the restaurant they’re always super accommodating! Raily went above and beyond to help us. We weren’t able to go in person due to illness and called in after placing a delivery order wondering if we could get more salsa to go. She was super helpful and this is why we will continue to always go back. They’re super fast, always hot and delicious. One of our favorite places in town!
