Best KPortal Reviews

Best onion rings I’ve ever had. Other than that, food was alright. Servers were very kind but wait for food seemed a bit much at 45 min, but it was for 7 people. Lovely place.
An absolute unexpected Goggle find! A very warm welcome followed by being seated in a quiet area.
Food:
Starters:
Prawn cocktail - a very generous serving of prawns with crunchy red onion, cucumber, pepper and lettuce.
Teriyaki boneless chicken served with sticky rice was considered very good.
Main course:
Fish and chips, served in paper reminiscent of the old days (see photos) with the biggest onion rings I've ever had! All beautifully cooked.
The Swan is by a river which offered a great way of burning off some of what we had consumed!
Absolutely recommend - it's just a shame that we had no room for dessert!
Came here for new year, stayed in the carpark in our campervan.
Food is outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely.
Staff very attentive and always ready for you to order and cater for your every need.
We will definitely be back again
Food we had was Balmoral chicken and maple bacon and chicken salad.
A familiar location The Swan, under new management, is alive and kicking. It's good to see The Swan at the top of it's game again.
I went there for a family meal (two adults and two young children) and was blown away by the whole experience.
The atmosphere, the food, the service. All brilliant.
We were greeted with a warm smile and shown to an ideal table ‐ space for the kids to stretch out. We felt like we had our own VIP section.
The food was gorgeous and substantial. The server advised on the pudding and it did not disappoint.
The portions are very generous so make sure you don't snack before you visit.
We will definitely be returning for round two (three and four)
A fantastic afternoon here at The Swan in Kingholm Quay, Dumfriesshire Scotland. My wife and I stopped here to visit with friends and enjoy a late lunch. Our food was outstanding with excellent service provided. Loads to choose from on their menu, portions were very generous and worth price paid. Nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining. It's definitely a quality place to stop and have a drink or two enjoying the scenic views around. I highly recommend this place and will be back someday.
The atmosphere is quiet and clean. The staff are friendly and courteous.. Good menu selection. There were no long waits for food. Food was well presented and enjoyable. Pricing was reasonable for a meal out. Seems the business is about to change as a "for lease sign" was attached to the building.. A convenient private car park is opposite.
Food was amazing staff amazing I recommend the swan lovely food lovely place not been before booked just incase arrived at 12 00 glad I booked very popular The Sunday lunch was amazing
Unparalleled. Did not expect this amazing quality of food and service.
My hotel nearby was understaffed the day I came here and they were only serving fast food options. I did not fancy this so I wanted to take a walk.
The centre of Dumfries was a 10 minute walk in one direction, and The Swan was a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Yes, there would of been more options in town, but the location of this little restaurant being on a backroad (There is plenty of space to park also) and next to the river peaked my interested in a nice evening stroll.
I do hope the pictures I have added speak for themselves as I was presented with a Starter and Main course that could of filled multiple mouths, I was amazed, and extremely happy as I hadn't eaten all day.
I ordered the Battered King Prawns for the starter and then the Sea Food Linguine for my Main. With a Pint of Pepsi to go with it the bill was less than £25. I would of happily paid more for quality of it. Tips to the staff also as they were lovely, caring and chatty!
Couldn't recommend this place more.
