The restaurant, servers, and bar tenders were great but the dance floor/stage staff ruined the experience with their rude attitudes. As a paying customer at an over priced venue staff should be more respectful and kind to patrons.
This review is only about the restaurant (not the hotel). The location and the atmosphere were great. Everything else? An absolute mess. The kitchen was really behind and the waiters made some important mistakes (like pouring ketchup on my wife). The food wasn’t anything special, but wasn’t bad either. As expected, drinks were overpriced and the menu was surprisingly limited (like 8 entrees and 8 mains). Our friend forgot her bag at the table and no one seemed too interested in helping her. In addition, when we tried to go on the dance floor, they told us to wait until *someone* told them it was ok. The valet worker left our car unlocked and one of its windows down.
Beautiful stay at Surf Lodge this weekend! They offered surf lessons this weekend! We had the best time! I’ve now fallen in love with surfing!! The team of surf instructors were so great. They had wet suits for us & called to make sure we knew location. It’s honestly was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had in Montauk. I hope they continue this next summer!
Beautiful location with lots of potential! Came here for some drinks, dinner and live music on a 2 day visit to The Hamptons. The staff were lukewarm in their service as if we were lucky to be there, food was WAY over priced for what it was but it's a venue where you feel that if you are on a table, you need to order a full meal service.
While the music is great and the location so desirable along the lake which is perfect for sunset, it just needs friendly staff who value patronage and to earn their expected 20% "tip" on the payment terminal.
Incredible experience! Will be staying here for any future Montauk visit. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and we were treated so kindly the entire time we were there. Katie, and the other blonde woman at the front desk (I didn’t catch her name) were amazing, as was Reece, the hotel GM. Would recommend to anyone for your Montauk visit!!! Thanks for a great weekend and can’t wait to come back.
Honestly so fun to be here for the week! The staff was super helpful and made sure we were taken care of. The rooms are modern and cute and have such great views of the pond. The food is very good and we were able to eat almost ever meal here. There are bikes available and the beach is super close. Great experience, would recommend!

While the food was good, what really sets this place apart is the incredible selection of drinks and the live music. I indulged in their spicy margaritas, a standout choice that paired perfectly with the sounds of the evening.
Service was prompt and attentive, complementing the overall experience. Whether you’re coming for a casual catch-up with friends or a romantic date night, Surf Lodge has a little something for everyone.

Be very careful booking a hotel room here! They cancelled my hotel booking without informing me why and then did not refund the payment! I can’t believe that influencers and celebrities want to be associated with a place that is literally stealing money from customers. ||||I booked the Surf Lodge for the end of September and the money was taken from our account. It was a birthday present from my husband (we are based in the UK and we were really excited to visit). A few days later I received a cancellation automated email. I then followed up by email to find out why. It turns out that the hotel is closed in September despite booking being open online! A month later, I have sent approximately 10 emails and have called the hotel multiple times however no one has answered and no refund has been given for the room payment. ||||It’s absolutely disgusting treatment of customers. We were so excited to visit after seeing all the hype online about the location. ||||I
