I had drinks in the evening and breakfast the next morning. Young man came around people's tables asking if their food was Ok.

Very busy noisy pub. But I guess you would expect that from a Witherspoon's.
In this Spoon, the food was excellently cooked, and not too long to wait, Staff was very busy and quick to clear tables. We have dined in this particular Spoon several times and always been happy.
Value for money food which is hot, quickly, and freshly cooked. Cut price drinks as you'd expect, and the all day tea, and coffee is brilliant.
Although it was packed we ordered on the app and drinks came within 5 minutes...and food in around 10 minutes. And a big shout out to the young staff who were efficient and courteous. As always meals are basic, but well cooked and actually affordable...unlike most pubs and restaurants now,
Very affordable place with good satisfying food. They don't have enough non alcoholic options of drinks (mocktails) though.

Breakfast has badly gone downhill. Second time foods arrived and it's cold and not cooked properly! The egg was lime jelly, mushrooms still white and hard, raw cold tomatoes, cold beans, soggy vegan sausages (not cooked properly) and bacon that was cold and not cooked, was more like ham. Informed staff, no apology, didn't even seem shocked so obviously they're used to it. The only decent thing was the hash browns and toast! Will be finding somewhere else to have breakfast now. They also don't bring you new food they leave you sitting there waiting and when they bring it back after reminding them 3 times it's exactly the same! Bad attitude as well from staff. Won't be back for breakfast that's for sure. I definitely think there's a new chef, either that or someone cba.
Great staff, very attentive and the place is always run smoothly and kept clean no matter how few or many people there are. They are very appreciative of people's different needs.
