So I think of myself as a foodie, I love trying new foods and good ole down home cooking. And let me tell you, YOU MUST STOP AN SEE MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE! If you LOVE down home cooking, bring u back to grammas house cooking, then you have to stop in at THE STRETCH !! it's under new owners and they have it together ❤️ ???? from the absolutely amazing food to the awesome friendly atmosphere and comfy vibe, it's the spot to stop !! Stopped in for breakfast and I was blown away by everything.
Easily best breakfast in fond du lac. Everything about our experience was top tier. The food, service, the coffee. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean- something previously lacking here with past owners. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners this morning- and I'll say what I said to them again here. It is evident the increible amount of work (and heart) that went into revamping this space and Menu.
My husband is truck driver and we where together looking for a place to eat breakfast at 5pm and this place does not disappoint. The waitress was very friendly and caring. We ordered a Skillet for each one with all the meats, onions, pepper and mine includes the pancake for 12 dollars. We are definitely coming back.
My husband and I had initially planned to go to a different cafe but they were closed at 2pm on weekends. I knew of this cafe but had never even been inside the truck stop side of it. It was clean and inviting, the staff was friendly and cared about our experience. Being a driver and away from home I really like places that make me feel like im visiting a friend, this place did just that !!! I will definitely be back.. oh we had some pies they were very good too!
My congratulations to the new owners. You've totally nailed it! I was blown away by the new remodeling that's been done, too. It's so open and inviting and very clean and comfortable feeling. I complimented our host about it before we were even seated. I was even more impressed by not only the fast, friendly service from the staff, but the food is at a whole new level of delicious! So much flavor! Everything was made to perfection. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend!
Great food, love the remodel and pricing is reasonable. Will definitely visit again to try some other great stuff I saw on the menu!

What a great spot to bring friends or family. Food is delivered quickly, and there's a lot of care to the presentation and customer service. Even when their busy, you still get your food in under 10-15min. Waitresses are awesome! Emily, Bridget, Katie, Lori, and Tam are great! It's been completely remodeled inside and looks nothing like it used to be. Don't let the "Truck Stop" stop you from enjoying by far one of the best restaurants North Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac have to offer as far as diners are concerned. Make this your pit stop on the way up North or South depending on which way you travel.
