Best KPortal Reviews

You know this is a quiet little local pub, and one of the few in Street to sell proper cider. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The location and decor are not up to date, but the place has an easy going feel. I liked it.
Went there for a Sunday carvery around 1 ish. After a quick phone call to see if they could fit us. 5 minutes later we were in and eating.
The Staff are friendly and helpful and the food was good with choice of beef, chicken and gammon.
Cabbage, carrots, cauliflower and peas.
Potatoes and Yorkshire puddings x1
Price was reasonable. Sorry no photos as I was to hungry to remember to take them.
We would have no problems coming back.
This is a review on behalf of my parents who had a Sunday carvery last week.
They arrived to poor customer service by not being welcomed upon arrival. They then went to the carvery station and asked for pork and beef as their choice of meat. The meat portions were extremely small and the pork had poorly cooked jelly type fat surrounding it. The Yorkshire pudding was very hard on the outside and the rest of it was mushy. The vegetables they had were tasteless and then to top it all off the gravy which was in concealed in a white jug was red and watery.
Upon finishing their food they were not asked how their meal was or offered a choice of desserts.
Overall very disappointing and won't be returning under this management.
New owners ,sunday carvery was quite good, enjoyed the syrup pud and custard too . Best book table. Carvery closes when its all gone. Good car park at rear .
The Street Inn is a good place depending on the time you go, during the day it is a safe and good place to go. The food is decent and the staff are good too! However during the night it can get busy and rowdy. If your looking for a cheap pint it's a option but would defiantly keep children away after 6pm
We arrived for a Carvery lunch for a friend’s birthday but it was extremely disappointing.
Pub car park has rubbish on the ground including a dirty nappy!
Landlord was friendly but food was abysmal.
We had the tail end of the gammon and turkey which was dry and the vegetables were not cooked properly and stuffing was dry and overcooked.
A young lad served us, but he needs to attend a hygiene course as he was picking gammon off with his hands and eating it and then putting the bit he didn’t eat back down on the plate and continued to prod the meat with his fingers!
I couldn’t really believe what I was seeing.
I had visited before and the food was better quality.
However I will be going elsewhere for a carvery lunch in the future.
Under new ownership so thought we woukd give the restaurant a try for lunch. . It really was very good. All the food is freshly cooked and well presented. The new owners are so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked our Christmas lunch there. If you are in the area or visiting Clark's village do give it a try. Thoroughly recommend it.
Warm welcome straight away, very lovely energy and people working here. I would say it's one of the nicest, down to earth places in Street. Gorgeous garden with tall willow trees and traditional wooden bench tables. Coffee excellent and the cups they came in are very cute. Brilliant. Thank you xxx
