Very friendly service, well organised and great food. Decent range of beers too. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the green room has a brilliant view over the hills. I'm sure we will be staying there again. Perfect if you are visiting to walk or bike in the mountains.
I recently stayed here with five other biker mates. We all had a fab time and really enjoyed what this great little hotel has to offer. The service both in the bar and the breakfast room was first class. Our rooms were also very modern, clean and comfortable with all amenities at hand. The shower in our room was very effective and I have to say our all round experience at the hotel deserves nothing less than five stars. Thank you to the staff who looked after us so well, we look forward to staying with you again real soon. :)
I have been to the star Inn 3 times now and I have never had a bad meal. The food is great the service is friendly and always with a smile. Really worth the drive to this little pub and for the romantics there are some lovely drives to view the amazing sunsets the area has to offer before or after your meal
Stopped here whilst passing through in September. Looked closed from the road, but nipped up to investigate to find a warm welcome. Superb home cooked pies, only slight disappointment with the coke, which seemed a little flat. Food was really nice though.
Under new Management Julie and Gareth were perfect hosts and have some exciting plans for the future. The rooms have been fully refurbished and were extremely comfortable and spotless with great facilities. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was the perfect start to the day with lots of choice. It's the perfect place for a relaxing break, with beautiful walks and a sky at night that has to be seen to be believed. We will definitely be going back ????
Stayed here on a cycling break in November. Room was newly refurbished and just the job. Dry stable to store the bikes. Owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful . The cook came in extra early to cook us a fantastic breakfast the next day. Lovely remote location and a downhill start the next morning!
Stunning view of the hiils from sunny seats out front, set way back from main road so not a problem with traffic noise and little traffic anyhow. Good local beer in bottles, charming interior, friendly service and open all day! Menu looked good but we weren't there at meal-time.
A lovely place. Newly refurbished to a very high standard. My room was newly decorated with new furniture, fittings and brand spanking new on suite shower room/toilet. There's also a sauna to try. The food was very good quality. A charming, friendly and very helpful hostess, Karen. Secure bike storage within the building, although a mix up meant mine unfortunately stayed outside. I would recommend it.
