Fantastic B and B. Great base for East coast. Situated in the old town of Bridlington so quiet location. A lot of money has been spent on this place, and it is very stylishly decorated. It is so clean. We got a lovely welcome from host Keith. Great breakfast. We highly recommend the Star B and B, and we will definitely go back.
The Star Inn Steakhouse has temporarily closed for 2023, My family were perhaps the last to eat at this fine restaurant in October. Speaking to the owner this week (hoping to eat here again), there is the issue of the cost of running it but more importantly the issue of finding the correct and qualified staff to enable it to reopen properly to ensure the finest meals and ambience anywhere - which it had prior to closure, I travelled from Malton on recommendation to have my first experience of The Star, I have to state categorically, IT REALLY WAS A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE EATING HERE. The steaks are the largest and finest prepared I have ever eaten (chargrilled to perfection), the service was superb. We ate off solid oak tables and sat on chairs fit for Royalty, They have something absolutely right here and something desparately needed for the area although people will travel, as I found out when I parked my Hyundai, between a range rover and a Bentley ! The chap and his wife from the Bentley had driven from Leeds to specifically eat there and stay the night, It is an expensive menu, but you will expect that when you want the best, Roll on a time when it will trade again.
Nice old school inn. Stayed here in August during the heat wave. Nice large carpark around the back, with cameras for security. All the staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean, tea/coffee facilities and a comfy bed and a clean bathroom with walk in shower. Only small negative was room was really warm but we knew there was no air con when we booked. There is also a bar and steak house, both with friendly staff running them. Steaks were beautifully cooked and the extras that came with them were lovely. While waiting to be seated in the restaurant there is a nice seating area outside to enjoy a drink, but plenty of seating inside to. A really nice place to stay and we will hopefully be back.
Fantastic meal and service, staff very knowledgeable about menu. Had a short wait for our table so we're taken to the bar to enjoy drinks and look at the menu, our order was then taken at the bar which meant less time waiting for out food when we got our table in the restaurant. I won't write to much about the food except that everything was exceptional and the tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare), I'll let the photos do the talking though. Will definately be returning, soon hopefully.
Visited the restaurant for a birthday meal. From arriving we were greeted with a very warm welcome. We were shown to a table in the bar and given menu's- at no time did we feel rushed.
We ordered our meal and were shown to the table in the restaurant. The restaurant is exceptionally laid out.
When the food arrived, we found that the food quality was second to none.
The steaks were perfectly cooked, the portions were ample, and anything we needed was brought quickly to the table, and the staff ensured our glasses were always topped up!
Simply cannot fault the experience, staff or food one bit. Looking forward to the next visit already :-)
We didn't stop here but took my Dad for his birthday lunch.
5 of us had a lovely Sunday dinner. It's freshly redecorated and clean. Food was lovely but not everything was ready (roast potatoes) and the portions could have been slightly bigger. However, the chap hosting was kind and professional. I would happily go back. Perhaps on a week day as they have an extensive steak menu.
Had a fabulous long weekend at The Star Inn - comfortable and spacious accommodation with all the amenities you’d expect from a larger hotel but in a lovely boutique setting. We were looked after from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was gorgeous- best steak we’ve had in recent memory, and the Sunday lunch was sublime. The bar and outside space is immaculate and we enjoyed sampling the excellent cocktails and extensive drinks menu. Thank you for a fabulous weekend Keith, Leigh and the rest of the team - looking forward to coming back soon ????
Me and my husband had the most amazing meal here last night. The food was amazing, the chef is so lovely and such an awesome guy! There is NO PLACE in Bridlington that has ever made us feel as valued as we did there last night. The staff and the chef value their customers and that I respect immensely!!! I WILL definitely be eating here again! And I will definitely be recommending it to everyone else I know. Thank you so much for amazing food, service and to the chef for going above and beyond for us. We SHALL be back, many more times.
