Just had a fantastic meal at The Star with my wife and daughter. I had the burger and chips which was delicious and homemade. My wife had the ribs which she assures me were just like those from a tex-mex restaurant!! Both the drinks and food were served promptly by Emma, Chris and their team in the new outside, undercover and heated seating area.

Really excellent lunch at The Star yesterday (April 2020). Amazing charcuterie board and cheese ploughmans. The team were super-friendly and very accommodating. Lovely setting, dog friendly. Really can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back and if you want a walk to work up to, or work off the food, I highly recommend the Chanctonbury Ring walk nearby.
Nice pub very welcoming part way through a long walk. Friendly staff. Just had drinks and crisps which were very good. Would visit again.
Called in for a pint , it was fairly busy.Enjoyed the peace of sitting in the garden. When it turned a bit chilly outside I went indoors , the fire had been lit. All very pleasant and reasonably priced. Will call in again.
Fantastic old pub, low beams, cozy with modern bits too blending both old and new together well. Bar and table games available and very family friendly.
Has outside seating too and an area where the kids can run around in the Summer.
Has own car park.

Nice to see a busy wet pub. Good selection of ales. Good service. Friendly bar staff. Plenty of room, inside and out.
Big portion roast dinner was good nice relaxing place to eat
Super friendly staff. Very covid compliant.Great choice of beers too. Didn't eat there but the food that was being served up looked great and smelled fantastic. Even helped us out with parking a removal lorry up for the night. ????
Great baker's over the road to for a bacon sandwich and a coffee in the morning.
