I found this place online and I'm glad I did! The potatoes are bigger than my head and delicious. I just ordered the Taysom Taylor and this thing is jammed packed full of meats and barbeque sauce, Yum! I'll definitely be trying their whole menu and they're gonna get to know me.
After 2 weeks of being in town I finally decided to try this place on my final day here and I wish I didn't wait this long to eat here. The price and the food were excellent, I had the broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce and bacon and it did not disappoint! I also ordered a Chilli dog because my eyes are bigger then my mouth but I made room for it after the first bite, Chilli was nice and hearty and for a little over $2.99 it came with sweet potato fries. Overall the food was good, the staff was patient with me I didn't feel rushed and they made good recommendations.
Penny for a thought, I almost feel like I would try a breakfast version of this like a bacon, over easy egg and cheese with everything seasoning. ????
Wife and I stopped here for dinner. I got a potato and she got the shrimp and corn bisque. Mine was the seafood spud and I loved it. My wife was not all that thrilled with the bisque and I don’t blame her after trying it. It did taste a little better than it looked. My spud has shrimp, crab, and crawfish in a creamy sauce. Get it!! Wish I could give more stars but that bisque was not good.
Always trusted to be consistent. One of the few potato places left in the metro New Orleans area. Never been dissatisfied.
1st time but definitely not the last. I'm an extremely picky eater and am watching my weight but this eatery is causing me to second guess my eating habits. I enjoyed a steak fajita stuffed potatoes and an order of funnel fries. Yummy! My husband and daughter enjoyed a chicken fajita potato and seafood potato.
I came to this joint on my brief trip to New Orleans. It was close to my hotel so I decided to give it a shot.
The restaurant has a walk up counter to order with plenty of seeting available to the right hand side of the joint. I ordered the Traditional, whole, topped w/cheddar cheese and a root beer soda. I figured you couldnt go wrong with the tried and true. It was delicious. The spud wasn't over cooked or dry and came with lots of margarine. I prefer butter but this wasn't bad. Accompanied w/real bacon bits and freshly chopped chives. Also included was a personal size tube of sour cream, Tony Chachere, and salt/pepper.
If you order a 10 inch hot sausage poboy, be prepared to get 4 inches of bread with lettuce and tomatoes and no meat. I will never eat at this establishment again.
I've passed this place up many times but never stopped in.... today we did, for lunch and really enjoyed it. I got the Dat Cajun Spud and my son got the Meat & Cheese Spud. For those who's thought of stopping, but haven't yet, the spuds are HUGE and loaded with toppings! We couldn't finish our spuds there, but we will for dinner! we Definitely worth the price!
