Really nice country pub, very friendly bar lady, she was so welcoming. Had a game of darts and a couple of pints for my birthday. Will definitely be back, thank you.
Had a few pints on a Sunday evening. The lady serving and the local drinkers were all very friendly. Had a very pleasant time whilst at this pub.
Stayed at a nearby campsite and popped in for a couple of drinks. Lady behind bar was so welcoming. Will definitely come again.
Now known as 'The Merry Monk', I can assure you there is nothing merry about it! I have visited the bar twice and on both occasions I have been treated disgracefully by multiple members of staff. There were moments were I feared for my safety as aggressive staff begun to threaten and blackmail me and my chums. Drinks were ridiculously overpriced and I was forced by staff to buy them or they threatened to throw me out. Also they begun charging for tap water after business that night was slow! The front door also creaks annoyingly and seems fairly unstable and a clear health hazard. I noticed that one of the urinals was out of order too. Avoid.
A pub frequented by older people generally. A good regular real ale.
Whitty friendly landlord. Darts, dominoes, pool if desidered.
Good loving friendly people Bee and John, always make you feel welcome ????
Closed during our time due to staff illness so cannot comment.
