The best meal we have ever had, the owners were lovely and the food was exceptional. It was so delicious that we're going back tomorrow.
A really quirky pub with oozes of personality, you can tell that love has gone into every nook and cranny.

Food was excellent and very well presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The bar area was full of quirky and interesting furnishings. Only marking the atmosphere down to 4 because, on a wet Saturday lunchtime, we were the only diners present. I can't understand why when the food is so good and the staff so friendly. But we will definitely be returning when we return on one of our regular visits to Pendine.
I was looking for somewhere to stop off for Sunday lunch near Tenby. I'm so pleased I did some research and found The Sporting Chance. The restaurant/ bar is tastefully decorated and feels warm and immediately welcoming. Staff were polite, professional and unobtrusive. The food was superb, I had the beef and chicken cooked dinner which came with a side of local fresh vegetables. The parsnips were incredible. All in all a very pleasant stop off and a great meal for 5 adults and 3 children. I'll be back.
This is the third time we have had a meal here and all I can say is “Absolutely delicious”.
The best Sunday dinners by far served by wonderful friendly staff.
Always met with a smile and welcomed as if you were royalty.
The surroundings are so clean and relaxing and having just bought a caravan in the park opposite this will certainly be my new local.

Just a quick note,I was there for Sunday dinner with wife and two friends on Father’s Day and had been made aware that several of the staff were on their first day.Well you wouldn’t have known,they were brilliant,very polite,friendly and served professionally.
On a very busy Sunday they handled the pressure like clockwork.Five out of five to the hardworking team xx
Arrived here with 3 tired children and were made very welcome. The food is freshly cooked so took a while to arrive. Its well worth the wait though, the chips were fantastic! Lovely pub, lovely staff and lovely food. Thank you
First time here, thoroughly enjoyed the meal with friendly and attentive service. Loved that food is freshly cooked to order so heat level of my curry was adjusted to my taste. Definitely worth a visit.
Haven't been to The Sporting Chance in years so thought we would give it a go again... was not disappointed! Amazing food we had a roast, served hot and plenty of sides, dessert was amazing. Friendly staff, the owner was very warm and welcoming and happy to have a chat. Great, relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!!!
Im staying on a campsite near this pub and saw the pictures of the food which looked great!
We were seated by a really friendly gentleman on the sofas as dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. Just after we ordered, a lady came out of the kitchen, and we overheard her telling the barman he shouldn't have seated us there as dogs are not allowed. This made us both feel slightly uncomfortable, and I feel like it could have waited until after we left the pub.
I do think this place would have more customers if you did allow dogs to in the sofa areas.. they aren't exactly near the restaurant and noones going to want to have a nice meal in the tiny sports bar where "the lads" are playing darts and being loud. I would have definitely passed and gone somewhere else.
The food was really nice well presented.
