Just found our new favorite place! Stopped for a quick lunch today and I'm glad we did. Our server, Devon, was so sweet and welcoming. I was with my young daughter and Devon was happy to answer all her questions and make sure she got her food exactly how she wanted it. Food came quickly and was great. Devon made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy. She really went above and beyond. Servers like her make a restaurant special, make you want to come back. I know we will always come back and hope that Devon is there when we do! I'm sure the owners are so happy to have someone like her, not all places do, people like her make a huge difference and will make customers come back forever!!
Had a great meal! We came in for lunch on Memorial Day since every where else was closed. The food was delicious, highly recommend the garlic knots. The service was great, even though I think our server was the only one running the place she was friendly and very attentive given the situation, also gave us some greats recommendations. Will be coming back for sure!!
This is a cool old school diner. They have the best root beer float and other such soda drinks. Their food was pretty good as well. Unfortunately the service we had wasn’t overly great. Still would recommend going back.
The Soda Fountain in Venice is my go-to spot whenever I'm in town, especially after a day of shark teeth hunting on the beach. This charming ice cream soda joint not only offers a nostalgic experience, but it also serves fantastic food and pizzas that never disappoint. I love laying out my newly found shark teeth while waiting for my order. If you have a sweet tooth, you're in for a treat; their menu features an impressive selection of house-made ice creams, classic sodas, and mouthwatering milkshakes. What really seals the deal is their extra-large pizza, which is not only delicious but also offers excellent value for the money. A trip to Venice isn't complete without a visit to The Soda Fountain!
Loved this place! Super quaint little diner with a retro theme. Food was amazing. I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had, and you have to try the house made chips. For those commenting on service… there is one waitress and she is doing an amazing job. Just have patience and don’t expect to be in and out. It’s worth the wait anyway, which by the way, wasn’t that bad anyhow. Highly recommend!
Our visit to the Soda Fountain was average at best. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. Prices were high for simple foods such as pizza and small sandwiches. Our waitress was the only one serving the entire room so service was slow and inconsistent. She was nice but couldn’t effectively handle all of the tables. Ordering takeout might be a better option. We didn’t get dessert (ice cream, milkshakes, etc) so cannot comment on how good they are. All in all, one visit was enough for us.
Place was very cool, a lot of sodas and ice cream to choose from and you can make any of them floats. Food and atmosphere were good except for sitting there forever. Servers seemed to be nice but definitely understaffed either in kitchen or out serving. Waited close to an hour for 2 slices of pizza and fries… I would have understood the wait time if we got burgers or something but pizza? Would hate to see it go down under due to bad staff
So we went here because of the reviews. Parking was really limited, so we had to park and walk a ways. I think it could be a great spot for lunch or having ice cream socials...but not on this day. We expected a small wait, but not the chaos that we found. It definitely COULD be a fun place, but sadly we experienced the opposite. Our server, may have not been a server but he stepped up. The kitchen was in disarray as apparently the only person capable of running the restaurant walked out!!! That did not stop people from filling up the place really quickly. It's a shame really because it did have the feel and nostalgia we were expecting.
