This pub had a great atmosphere all around, the garden was big with plenty of parking or camping, the inside was cosy and friendly and there is even a hidden room for big events that looks amazing. The service was fast, and food looked good. There was even a pool table there.
I recently went there with 9 friends for Sunday lunch. We were on a girls weekend at Bluestone celebrating a couple of 40th birthdays. The staff were wonderful and couldn't have done more to help us enjoy and celebrate. On top of that the Sunday roast for superb! Such good value for money.
Next time I return to the area I'll definitely be making a reservation for food. ????
Went to the Snooty Fox for Sunday Lunch. Lovely friendly staff, food was good at reasonable price.
We were camping 2-3 miles away and were recommended this place by the campsite owner for our evening meal. The pub was fairly quiet when we visited with just a couple of tables occupied outside. It has a large car park and its own children's play area. The menu selection was OK with a decent amount of choice including children's choices. The venue is a little dated but well kept and the quality of service and food and drinks was good.
Liked: Really friendly owners and staff. The food at the pub was excellent and reasonably priced.
The camping field was huge and not very busy, it was lovely and quiet.
The lack of showers will limit the length of your stay but everything else was great.
Liked: Family, friendly environment. Great park for the children. Staff really helpful and laid back. Great location.
Disliked: Quite expensive for pitch with no electric hook up or showers, however, it was half term and we knew this in advance.
Liked: Lovely staff and nice pub food.
Plenty of space between pitches and a decent sized play area for kids.
Fantastic location, close to bluestone, oakwood, heatherton, folly farm, wildlife park - so much to do near by.
Everyone enjoyed!
Liked: Second time staying, lovely site, plenty of other children around so the kids loved it. We were right next to the Park which was great as the kids had some freedom.
Disliked: Would like facilities to wash up. A building is up with sink but it's not plumbed in
