Best KPortal Reviews

I made a last-minute booking for a Mothering Sunday Lunch, which would normally ring alarm bells as the first few places I called were fully booked. However, I was not disappointed. The Sloop Inn is a quaint pub attached to a small campsite, which was easy to find.
Walking through the first door (Main entrance), I find two more doors, neither of which is signed, which gives the sense of the Monty Hall problem. We picked door one, which took us into the Bar.
Ordered drinks and, after going through several dirty glasses, walked through to the dining room. (It must be noted that Bar Lady was lovely and had no issues in addressing the dirty glass issue)
Seated at a lovely solid wood table just inside the dining room.
Sunday Lunch was a Buffet. The vegetables had just been freshly filled, so they were lovely. There was a choice of three meats: Pork, Lamb, and Beef. These were coming to an end, so they were a little dry. However, they were still nice to eat, and I am confident that earlier in the lunch serving, they would have been great.
The homemade puddings are to die for..! We had a delicious Baileys cheesecake, which was unbelievably light, and a hot chocolate fudge cake, which was divine. I scraped the dish to get every last morsel left.
Overall, I had a great visit and lunch and would happily go again. The food was great, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Very good pub with camping at £10 per night (for no hookup). The bar has a great atmosphere and prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly. The food was very tasty with some specials too. The only downside was the food service was slow but there were a lot of steak eaters in that night.
Welcoming place the beer is well kept and the prices very reasonable. £20 per night if you have a caravan or moho to stop over. I went to do the karaoke but got the wrong week. I'll be back

Called in for Sunday lunch again! Great food, service and atmosphere, particularly from Fred who I can only presume is the landlord due to his attention to detail and genuine interest of the customers and all round demeanour. Will definitely be back.

Just been to a wake here, place was packed out good atmosphere, good old fashioned pub a bit out of the way but well worth a visit
