Such a fab weekend spent at the Six Bells - after hearing it was under new management we were looking forward to visiting and seeing the changes for ourselves. We were given such a warm welcome when we arrived by Zoe and her team, there was a huge variety of drinks available and the perfect atmosphere for a chilled afternoon with friends. The garden was great for a few sundowners on the bank holiday and we can’t wait to go back again. Would highly recommend a visit.
Went there last Saturday for an evening meal. I booked on Friday night and was pleased to be able to get a table. We were welcomed and shown to our table. The restaurant was much bigger than I thought it would be. We ordered drinks, a pint of laher and a maximum and coke. For starters we had prawns and bruschetta. The food came quickly and was really nice. For mains it was chicken and a brisket beef burger. Both were really good. Another drink and the bill was only £57. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that some items on the menu weren't available and I found there was just a bit too much garlic on the bruschetta. We will definitely try again and I'm sure it will be a 5.
Absolutely fantastic.. service was spot on and due to the current restrictions.. everything was so we'll handled. Good food and drinks. Will definitely return. Well done ???? 2 trip...and still an absolutely beautiful pub ..good food and great service ????
A great quirky pub with atmosphere. I only went in the bar area so didn't see the restaurant but judging but the bits I saw, should be great too. Small car park at the front for about 12 cars. Food was excellent. Slightly at the higher end but the quality and quantity was superb. I had a chicken pie packed with meat. Had a bit of trouble organising a table in the bar, as had to order in advance but all worked out I the end. Staff were friendly and efficient. Happily would go again.
Came with friends for drinks over the Christmas break.
They had no wine glasses so we had to have a wine in a half a pint glass. The gentlemen behind the bar with the pony tail was incredibly rude to our whole group. I tried talking to him about the pool table and he was too busy on his phone watching a video to answer my questions. The tables were sticky and surface of the table wasn’t even screwed down to the table frame and legs so one of the friends slipped and spilled there drink and fell over.
My partner asked if they had any wine glasses for us and he was then replied with “ do you have any more questions” by the bartender when he was asking a simple question.
Utterly disappointed overall and felt like we weren’t welcome at all.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend
Great family evening at the six bells. Hosting was excellent and the food came pretty quick and most altogether considering there was 18 of us in total. The food tasted good and the portions were relatively filling having a starter and a main course meal. The pub was winter cosy with a live fire and well staffed, who were quick to offer help and serve us for drinks at the bar. Great mixture of ages too and prices of food and drinks are reasonable.
Just been over here for the opening day and what a fantastic pub very clean and tidy and staff all friendly great garden.
Great place to spend a few hours, drinks, food and atmosphere were all brilliant.
